Cut William some slack people

William has had a hard couple of weeks being the figurehead and spokesperson for the mods, and having to take the unpopular action to ban members.

Personally I am tired of the yapping puppies complaining about the actions undertaken. OK you may not agree with the decsions made, but even fm agreed he needed being banned.

William has done a wonderful job, from the themes he created and we all enjoy, to the graphics, to the repairs, far beyond what is needd or asked for here on the site, for nothing, no financial benefit whatever. He doesn't deserve the flack from those who are consumers and not producers on the board.

Get a life guys and get over it.

I agree, William works his a$$ off keeping this board up and running.
We all have different oppionons and point of view, but the people that have been banned were not just giving their opinion, they were a pain in the a$$ and payed the price...

We have now other things to worry about, so no more whining about banned users

If you think William is bad, try joining the board I'm admin on. Not only do we ban people for the same actions as William, we also ban them for whinging about it in public threads instead of messaging the moderators. And then we delete those threads....

Since William has become admin he appears to have taken the majority of the unpleasant jobs(no offence to Bob).

I know the vast majority of members and visitors recognise the hard work that he puts in.

Occassionally some may disagree with decisions that the collective Mods and Admin make,and which he must explain to the board,They may wish to register their disagreement but I hope they recognise that William only has the best interests of the board at heart.

I have never found either William or Bob to be insensitive to others opinions.They deserve our support.

just one for a metal and alternative night club in my city. Only has about 200 actively posting members so pretty tiny compared to ATS. However the difference is most of the members know each other in the flesh, so if the admin don't run it like a facist state, then blood gets spilt in the mosh pit come fridays

I can't imagine that William needs me or anyone else to speak on his behalf; but let me add that he is the one who has to bear the message - he does it well and justly and I believe I'm betraying no confidences when I add that the same spirit of tolerance is shown whenever William contributes to discussion of Board issues in Cosmic.
One of the good guys, and never one to act on impulse or before reasoned discussion.

Especially when you consider how much work the Admins/Mods have to put into these boards...Look how badly they're outnumbered by members! Even with superior "firepower", I'm suprised that our current roster of Admins/Mods haven't buckled under the sheer difference in *numbers* already...

And some (most?) of them even Admin/Mod other forums too!

At the site that I'm a Mod in, the Admin is too busy with college to spend even the occasional few minutes to look at what's happening, & I'm the only Mod to have shown up there at all for *months*.

I can see how these guys get worry-ripples all over their auras...I've only got Mod powers & I'm taking care of a site that's been in the Top Ten List (of it's category) for nearly 2 years running; And I've been doing it alone.

I agree with Netchicken 100%! William has done a GREAT job and I for one appreciate it. Thank-you William.

I sure hope William is still with us. I noticed his avatar says "done" and his mood is "no more" and in the XMB Forum, Mr. Crowne speaks of him in the past tense. I am a new member, but have been reading these posts for months and think William and the mods are doing a wonderful job.

I couldn't agree with you guys more. Everyone really needs to understand what William has done for this forum. He's added wonderful new themes to this site, fixed several technical issues, and brought about new features and ideas that have made this a better place. I know I am not alone when I say I am grateful for his contributions to this wonderful community. Thanks William!

I tip my hat to William as well, he has done a great job. You guys should make an award in his honor.

So, does anyone know if William is still with us or not? As I posted earlier it doesn't appear that he is, and I haven't seen him on here. I sure hope that is not the case as he is/was a very valuable asset to this board. Bob88, you are doing a wonderful job as well and your mods also. I can imagine it is tough, especially with such a large population.
