I am ignoring this, and therefroe not formulating a response you would find appropriate - on the grounds of vagueness.

Technically, you aren’t ignoring it as you’ve decided to reply. If you were to truly ignore it you would not address it period. However, what you are doing is failing to address the question and implying I would not find your response appropriate and contribute it to vagueness. What would lead you to conclude that your response would be something I deem inadequate? Moreover, when one speaks of vagueness is it truly vagueness at play or ones inability to process the information being presented? Would that mean you’re second guessing? This reminds me, we need to explore that a little more.

In the post I previously responded to you opened with, “Initially, I thought I might have to do things differently here.” You then go on to state what you usually do, give insight as to what has been suggested and openly wonder if your approach is the correct way to achieve your goals. So my question to you is do you always second guess yourself or do you only do so when you lack the information required to make an assessment that will help you achieve your goals? But what exactly is your goal? I’d say it’s one word--interpretation. However, I could be 100% incorrect, but the world will still spin and perspectives will remain the same or change...depending on where you initially sit.

Edited to add: I don't think of you as a "Troll-King" as conditioning is something I'm not fond of. However, you would make Pavlov proud, I'm sure of this. Want proof? The responses so far are all you need.

Btw, it is an interesting and proud name you bear ... Białystok Ghetto Uprising

Though the prerequisite search also revealed the low threshold of Australian bicycling and theatrical forums for your eclectic disposition.

Notwithstanding the 'venus flytrap' penchant of this thread, I am sure their loss is our gain.

In short, I for one find you as amusing as you find us.

[edit on 1 Feb 2010 by schrodingers dog]

It is not only the way you speak to me, and the respect you bring to me with the information that you saught to learn more about me by referencing my "proud" name - but is also the admirable name you yourself have chosen to use, and your earlier welcome to me; mostly though, it's the high level of understanding I suspect you own in how this game can be played on the internet -- that makes me very fond of you already.

However, I'm not sure I would state that I find people amusing per se as it suggests a crude level of trickery which points to the old, dual puppet-sock mentality and behaviour. People are not building blocks for me, nor things to be discarded after use. Everyone matters and everyone brings something to the contest. All deserve respect which would make me never think they're amusing, unless I express it as such in my reply to them. No one is nothing in my eyes and understanding, when it comes to life and playing this game you have still failed to properly attach the title of. What game are we playing, is the question, Shrodinger's Dog?

With the correct answer, I'm willing to concede that when we walk into the arena of battle - you stand before me as a worthy combatant, and one clearly worth my time and effort to engage with in the playing of the greatest game to have ever been devised.

There are many different ways to play, happygolucky. Since you are so disrespectful of me as to get my name wrong in your spelling of it - I am not fond of the idea to give you a proper reply in the methods one may employ to play this game.

Your crude manner, and the evidence that you have also failed to welcome me supports my view that you are not worthy of even another line from me. Even this, is way more than you de$erve.

You can spin the table all you like. I already told you the world will still spin and perspectives will change based on where you sit. So no, I saw it coming, no need to show my hand or second guess as there are enough people in this thread presently doing so, but of course you already knew this.

Welcome, Daniel Moszkowicz, to ATS and the forum where everyone is welcome.

What exactly constitutes trolling on ATS?

Others have began threads just like yours, no worries, because others after you will too.

So as to not waste my time, but honor your thread, I'm going to quote my thoughts on "trolls", and the fine art of "trolling", from the above linked thread.

Well, I consider this particular thread, trolling.

I am going to follow SLAYER69's methodology, and explain how I see it.

Troll (Internet)

Quote from : Troll (Internet)

"Do not feed the trolls" and its abbreviation DNFTT redirect here. For the Wikimedia essay, see "What is a troll?".

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

Not one to waste moments of sheer pleasure in posting by actually wasting time, here's more of that reply.

Troll_(Angling)

Quote from : Wikipedia : Troll (Angling)

Trolling is a method of fishing where one or more fishing lines, baited with lures or bait fish, are drawn through the water.

This may be behind a moving boat, or by slowly winding the line in when fishing from a static position, or even sweeping the line from side-to-side, eg when fishing from a jetty.

Trolling is used to catch pelagic fish such as salmon, mackerel and kingfish.

Trolling can be phonetically confused with trawling, a completely different method of fishing, where a net (trawl) is drawn through the water instead of lines.

Trolling is used both for recreational and commercial fishing whereas trawling is used mainly for commercial fishing.

Trolling from a moving boat is a technique of big-game fishing and is used when fishing from boats to catch large open-water species such as tuna and marlin.

Trolling is also a freshwater angling technique.

Trolling from a moving boat involves moving quite slowly through the water; this may be accomplished by use of a special trolling motor.

And of course finishing off with the last bits of this last part of the quoted post.

Heh, thanks mate ... though to be fair, the only credit (if any) due to me is but limited to me figuring out that 'feeding you straight lines' is neither the virtuous not the appropriate approach. At least not for me. But I have to tell you, for what it may be worth, that your last few posts have merited more than a sourire.

Eventually though, and you and I both know this, this element is destined to play its course ... when that happens I hope we have walked other ATS roads together and shared more than intellectual flirtation. That is to say, there is more to be seized ... in the meantime, I thank you for making me laugh.

Could it be that you don't know where I sit, still? If I was a Troll-King in your eyes, I would suggest the Troll-King sits on a fine throne of a certain making.

A "making" you still haven't fully grasped, it would seem, by your use of the old discredit tactic.

The "mods" by which I believe you mean Moderators - are likely to misinterpret what I say as it is something which has occured on many previous occassions on other websites, to which I referred in my opening lines to you at the beginning of this "introduction" thread. I acknowledge that you think you are seeking to instil a level of menace toward my direction, and the suggestion that you could make the "mods" make this happen.

No worries, mate. There is always the possibilty of things progressing in this manner when one is willing to bring a level of humility to an opponent.

What credit you wish to assign to yourself is your decision, it makes the credit I gave you no less sincere, nor no less deserving.

That you have chosen to call it an "intellectual flirtation" impresses me not as it has an actual game, I mean name. "Feeding your straight lines" is a little crude description more appropriate for someone like "Empire" - so I will understand that you were a little hasty in using it as such. Which makes my understanding of you already reaching for French smiles a little confusing. Never mind, I'll put it in the eccentric basket you like to hold on your internet excursions.

I'm glad I have made you laugh as you have done this to me, likewise.

The 'boards' will be a place I will look for you when this "introduction" is over, as I know the level of the discussion with you on it will be smiley, fun, enjoyable and of a high level of articulation and formidable in nature.

Could it be that you don't know where I sit, still?

You’ve made it quite clear in your posts which is why we’re having this exchange. The further we exchange, the further we venture into the unknown, but where you sit, is not a matter of being unknown but of being known. Circle talk? Word-jugglery? Who knows?

If I was a Troll-King in your eyes, I would suggest the Troll-King sits on a fine throne of a certain making.

Are “if’s” and hypothetical’s something you normally subject yourself to? Why is my perception remotely worthy to be even considered?

A "making" you still haven't fully grasped, it would seem, by your use of the old discredit tactic.

No, this goes back to perception. Unless you find Pavlov to be utterly repulsive I’m actually giving you credit and complimenting you.

The "mods" by which I believe you mean Moderators - are likely to misinterpret what I say as it is something which has occured on many previous occassions on other websites, to which I referred in my opening lines to you at the beginning of this "introduction" thread.

And this misinterpretation will probably lead to you being asked to leave, nothing more.

I acknowledge that you think you are seeking to instil a level of menace toward my direction, and the suggestion that you could make the "mods" make this happen.

You’re acknowledging something that doesn’t exist. I suggested we have a “Gloves Off” forum for a reason, maybe it was so more members like you would be encouraged to join and so the board could have a section where the mods are free from acting on their misinterpretations.

Ha-ha!

Laughing at me or with me? Laughter, in many cases, is often a sign of weakness and the last line of defense. I wish more people would laugh, maybe the world would be a better place, no?

Empire of one is what you represent in terms of intellect and knowledge, I am "afraid" to disclose to you.

Ha-ha!

Compliments? Veiled insults? Wishful thinking on my part? Deceit on yours?

These are fun times indeed!

So far, the manner in which I have acted is pretty much the level of controversy others have attached to me in previous adventures. If I am allowed to be me in the way I'm being, there is absolutely no err, reason that things should umm, change. I think that makes sense?

Yes, it does to me.

That I may consider myself of a high intellect and refinement is not meant to suggest to you, that you, nor any other member on this site is a - as you refer -"dumberd".

I will begin a thread or join one when I finally exit the one I have begun by authoring. So, no, not yet. But I wouldn't ever suggest I have the power to end this thread I authored as it would be disrespectful of other members wanting to stop by to make their welcome. A welcome you have failed to make, in literal terms.
