ANGRY YET? - Lee Iacocca's Book - a MUST read!!!

A friend sent me an email this morning about Iacocca's book and said it's a really good read to help get people sparked for action. Thought I would pass along the recommendation for the book. You can download it from the web (just Google "Where Have All the Leaders Gone? Iacocca" or if you still like the old fashioned feel of REAL PAPER, you can get it at a bookstore.

Link to REAL unedited excerpt from the book

Apparently there were some edited versions of the excerpt being passed around, so I have instead included a link to a valid version of the excerpt. This was a very easy problem to remedy, so there is no need for people to get all nasty. It seems that ATS members really have a problem with making courteous suggestions. This excerpt is NO HOAX, the book is NO HOAX, and most importantly, the MESSAGE IS NO HOAX!

So, shall we now continue to discuss the business at hand? At what point will people have enough? At what point will the anger become evocative?

MODERATOR: Please do not move this thread, as no matter what anyone says, what I have included here is NOT A HOAX... thank you!

Just the fact that some people would take Iacocca's words and malign them as they have done in certain hoax emails only goes to show how powerful his words are. He is a plain-talking, no-nonsense guy, and he is not partisan in his words. He just calls it how he sees it, and NO, he is not senile. Any of you who dare to malign him for being old... I only hope you find yourself as well off IF and WHEN you hit his age.

I agree with you, the book was a good read and contained a powerful message.

S&F

Couldn't have said it better myself Lee.

Nothing left to say but read the damn book.

Quit listening to the twisted propaganda and read the book.

Have I said it yet, READ THE DAMN BOOK.

Thanks for the OP.

Did I say it yet?

Dang good thread!
The stuff he said about Bush; spot-on the head of the nail. I only read the exerpt provided. I intend to read the book in it's entirety. Screw shaking the President of the US's hand, I'd be more honored to shake this man's hand.

Wow. I thought I liked the guy, now I',m sure of it. Read the book? Do we need to? We know what's up. That's why we're on ATS trying to find some answers and comfort in others that think like ourselves. THROW THE BUMS OUT IS RIGHT!!

Obviously the recommendation to read the book applies to those who are not really sure if they should do something tangible or not. It's for the newbies here. It's for the couch potatoes and lazy arse folks. It's for the complacent. It's for the deniers and fence-sitters. It's for those who are here as naysayers, who may not think things are that bad off. It's for those who see themselves more as students of this movement, as opposed to teachers.
