(Mod's please move to proper topic)

Take a look at the stars tonight around 11:00 pm central time.

Last night I noticed the moon was in the center of an upside down cross formed by a couple stars and a planet. this is probably nothing to be concerned about, just very interesting.

This is the way I saw it from my vantage point at 11:00 pm central, I'm using the underscore to properly set points:

*= star or planet

O= Moon

I saw the exact same thing last night when I was on my way home from work. I thought the same thing too - it looked like an inverted cross.

The bright star on the left was cool, I think it might have been Venus, but it could have been Jupiter. I would have to check my starcharts.

The coolest alignment I ever saw was the night Hale-Bopp, Mars, and the moon were in in a big huge triangle. I think it was the night of a lunar eclipse as well.

Keep watching the skies!
