The Externilisation of the Heirarchy (Maitreya & the Masters)

With all the Maitreya talk going on I was browsing some YouTube and came across this www.youtube.com..., which I found interesting. Many of you have probably already seen it.

Could Theosophy become the new world religion?

I agree that we don't have to worry about Maitreya starting or promoting any "one world religion" (or one world gov't either!). We are all Gods in potential and He'll help us recognize & demonstrate that. He will not be seen as a religious figure. Worshipping Him is a huge obstacle to understanding, and is something He clearly does not want. He says that fear and guilt are poisons. He likens religions to ladders - that most people use to help them get on the roof. Once they get up there, they can see that all religions come from the same source. Many of us don't need ladders (religion) any more, but we respect the fact that many people are still on them and we don't hassle them about it. Back in 553AD the emperor Justinian had the Catholic church ban all teachings on reincarnation and did some serious editing of the Christian bible.

Until that time, the teachings of Reincarnation and Karma (the laws of cause and effect) had been widely accepted. Those were in the days when less than 1% of the people could read, and there were very few copies of the bible. The church was burning 'heretics' at the stake and selling guaranteed seats in "heaven". They really screwed up the bible, and obviously many Christian minds are full of baloney from the dark ages.

Obviously the human family is very dysfunctional right now, thanks to corrupt leadership and the insatiable greed of the ruling elite. Maitreya will inspire us to rebuild the world into a peaceful and beautiful place, to become a functional family, a world where the people have the power, a New World with no war, hunger, poverty, or environmental degradation- a true democracy where the people respect each other, and are not fed hogwash by the news media and leaders.

Re: 2010 Maitreya was quoted in 2008 saying: "This is the year of the Rat; 2009 will be the year of the Bull; and 2010 the year of the Tiger. The year of the Tiger is always special, but 2010 will be really a special year -- it will be a really extraordinary year!"
