They Live - We Sleep

When i was younger i watched a movie called They Live.
at the time i did not think much about it, but i just saw someone post a video with the main scenes cut down to 6 minutes, and i have to say that this movie sure had a lot of insights back then that are the trouble of the world today with consumerism and control.

Aldous Huxley, Bernays and Orwell all rolled into 1 movie

Maybe I should watch that movie again. It was not a blockbuster back in the day but it was pretty good.

I was wondering who had that line.

When I saw it in your sig I never placed the movie. When I get offline tonight I believe I will watch it again.

I always loved that movie. I've watched it so many times over the years. I think I'll watch it tonight too. I have 1984 sitting on my table waiting to watch it as well.

Great movie, even if it is "cheezy" in terms of technology since we have modern digital technology today. The theme itself and the message was quite disturbing the first time I viewed it. I think there is some wisdom and truth to be found in this movie.

This movie once held the record for the longest fight scene, an alley brawl where Roddy Rod Piper beats the crap out of his new friend to get him to wear the sunglasses and help him out. If only our problems were so easy!

It was a great movie it was on last fall, I was surprised to see it.

watched the movie couple of days ago and man was it amazing...sure it was cheezy but that was the charm of the 80's movies but the message couldnt be further from the truth...must watch for all those who havent seen it yet...the part in the movie where the two guys travel through the portal to witness the andromedans travelling in and out of space through a stargate was compelling to watch...i mean where did these ideas come from, its too relevent

yea i loved that movie!! and its true how some of the old movies realy made good points!!


lets hope "soylent green" doesnt come to pass!!LOLOLOLOL!!
