I know you're looking for things Kerry has said but I wanted to add what OTHERS have said about Kerry:
"Kerry testified to unsubstantiated hearsay evidence; in short, he lied." - Matt Osborn, in alt.war.vietnam, March 25, 2004.
"And John 'Flip-Flop' Kerry chose to deliberately, and with malice, lie about events in Vietnam and chose to willfully defame and attack many
people who stayed and fought instead of running home after only a few months and a couple of 'boo-boo's'.... And, unlike some other would-be
politicians, he apparently chose to attend a meeting wherein assasination was the chosen topic as an agenda and deliberately chose not to report such.
Such a wonderful, courageous, honorable way to fight for one's country...!!"
--- Mac in alt.war.vietnam, March 27, 2004.
Mr. Kerry hasn't given me any reason to trust his judgment. As co-chairman of the Senate investigating committee, he quashed a revealing inquiry
into the POW/MIA issue, and he supports trade initiatives with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam while blocking any legislation requiring Hanoi to
adhere to basic human rights." - Lt. Stephen Sherman, U.S. Army Special Forces, January 26, 2004.
MY PERSONAL FAVORITE
While Kerry will just lie and sell you down the river, as he has in the past. A man with No Honor is able to do one thing and he does it well, he
saves his own skin no matter what or who he has to run over to do so. Candidate with No Honor = Voters with No Honor That will lead to a country
with No Honor. - Ken the Grunt in alt.war.vietnam, March 24, 2004.
"I have to say it's quite extraordinary that in a country the size of the US, with a population as large as it has, the best the Dems could find to
run against Bush is Kerry." - Saigon Sal, in alt.war.vietnam, March 22, 2004.
Service in Vietnam is an important credential to me. Many felt that such service was beneath them, and removed themselves from the manpower pool.
That Mr. Kerry served at all is a reason for a bond with fellow veterans; that his service earned him a Bronze Star for Valor ("for personal
bravery") and a Silver Star ("for gallantry") is even more compelling. Unfortunately, Mr. Kerry came home to Massachusetts, the one state George
McGovern carried in 1972. He joined the Vietnam Veterans Against the War and emceed the Winter Soldier Investigation (both financed by Jane Fonda)."
- Lt. Stephen Sherman, U.S. Army Special Forces, January 26, 2004.
"I've been saying for over thirty years that John Kerry, CBS, ABC and NBC are full of # and all I see are civilians who think junkies wearing
cammies are Vietnam vets." (see fashion statement) - Matt Osborne, in alt.war.vietnam, March 15, 2004.
"John Kerry insisted that he will stand by his principles, so it could go either way." - Yaketyak, in alt.war.vietnam, March 14, 2004.
"Vote For Comrade Kerry, Europe's Solution to an Independent America." - Yaketyak, in alt.war.vietnam, April 1, 2004.
"But being a take-charge kind of guy, Mr. Kerry became a leader in the VVAW and even testified before Congress on the findings of the Investigation,
which he accepted at face value In his book 'Stolen Valor', B.G. Burkett points out that Mr. Kerry liberally used phony veterans to testify to
atrocities they could not possibly have committed." - Lt. Stephen Sherman, U.S. Army Special Forces, January 26, 2004.
"After Kerry returned from Vietnam he became an antiwar activist. But was he really? In 1972 he threw his medals away to protest the war. Years
later it turned out that he had thrown someone ELSE'S medals away and kept his. Ask yourself this: Would Patricia Ireland burn someone else's bra?
Then doesn't this make Kerry a fraud?" OrionCA (

"Kerry is just another rich kid who had one aspiration. To be powerful in government. It's been a life long dream. And everything he's done has
been toward achieving that dream. He didn't go into the military for his country, he did it for himself. He didn't go to Vietnam for his country,
he did it for himself and what he would personally gain from it. In the 60's and 70's the regulations stated that you could get a maximum of 90 days
'early out'. Yet Kerry managed to get a 12 month 'early out'. Go figure. He's just another professional politician." "Pongado" in Re:
