2012...........Self Fulfilling Prophecy?

With all the hype, comments, news and hysteria regarding the 2012 Apocolypse...................I have a question?

"How many think "something" will happen, even if it doesn't?"

In other words, if absolutely nothing happens in, or around, 21 Dec 2012. How many people will think something still happened to them. Either metaphysical, spiritual or otherwise?

Seems like with all the publicity on 2012, that people's collective thoughts and reasoning would make something happen to them, whether it did or not.

What's your views?

While we are creating the "reality" by our thoughts, it's absolute plausible that we are unconscious destroying the earth without any knowledge of what is happen. We don't really know how powerful our thoughts are, so be careful with pessimism.

If you think about the rules of quantum-physics this can be more real then reality - we are the creators of the inner and outer world.

Maybe we have the power to create quakes or let the sun explode, just with our unconscious fears. If one million people have the absolute horror of what is happening at the same time (12-21-2012), it may happen.

So yes - Self fulfilling, afraid so.

I agree with you about reality and our thoughts. Just watch the world around you each day. Notice how things are happening so fast. We are going through what I call a bottle neck of time right now. Even though it looks and feels like time is speeding up, it isn`t, only our preception of it is. Picture if you will, a freeway full of cars, it only takes one of those cars slowing down to cause a bottle neck in the traffic. The more it slows down, the more the rest of the cars pile up behind it. This we are seeing with reality right now. Things are happening so fast, that it looks like they are happening one right after the other, and soon they will be happening at the same time. Just keep an eye on the world around you and with the world events.

This will cause many peoples realities to crumble. Many will not be able to handle this. Many will go off the deep end. A few many not even notice it, but a vast majority will. As long as people stay focused they will be fine, but once that focus is lost so goes reality. IMO, if focus IS lost, we may see some people go on rampages with many getting either hurt bad, or even killed. This is just my opinion.

Many people will go insane and crazy the next view years. I can also clearly feel time is speeding up. But this is also man made. I think it has to do with that flood of information and values. It's just to much. Like we are living 1000 years in one. Also the resonance frequency of earth is rising very fast, so people will lose the control to hide them self. There is no more a "middle", there are only extremes at least. good or bad - Our thoughts will determine that.

I think it's time to start act. Stop greed and hate and let love flow in your environment. We need love and respect and not that materialistic trash.

Yes, I was wondering if this is what happened to advanced ancient civilizations. Did they get too ahead of themselves and destroy their lives?

I believe that this is a normal process we go through, and I believe that it is all in how a persons mind is set when this occurs. When a person lives within a set reality that they have created for themselves, and then this reality is shaken to the core by the world around them, then that person may have mental issues stemming from that shake up. Some people do work their way through such things though. It is in how one deals with it in the end. If a person is open minded enough to the world around them, then they do stand a very good chance.

For many, this would be like playing a DVD at top speed and trying to make heads or tails of what it is saying and showing. It would not take long for that persons mind to go into neutral.

As for your question about advanced ancient civilizations? IMO, it very well may be the case for some, but not for all of them. When we learn to merge spiritual growth with technology you will find that transition or growth as a race goes a lot smoother.

And as we know, the people of Atlantis had also that self-destruction issue. Also Rom had it, and all other large "Great Powers" like the Mongolians, The Turks, The Greeks etc. - They all failed, it seems to be programed.

That was my point earlier. When we don`t have spiritual growth in our mindset, then that technology is doomed to fail. In other words, we should not put material advancement before spiritual advancement. Imagine what we along with this world would be like if we were to put the two together.

100% true words my friend. We should start to explore the inner world to understand hate, greed, etc. - and we don't need all this materialistic stuff to be happy. we need warmth and sensitivity to really understand our next.

This collective consciousness on the belief in the 2012 thing is somewhat plausible. However, the majority of the human population still thinks that it's a load of bull particularly the ones who aren't inclined to ATS-related subjects, documentaries, and the ones who haven't watched that Hollywood movie of the same name.

It doesn't quite have that much of an effect as the War on Terror thing that was done to death on every MSM available. Hell. Even non MSM have jumped on that bandwagon.

It's quite possible that they'll do the same brainwashing to the 2012 party once The Year of Doom arrives. So who knows. Maybe we'll kick our own buckets in the process.

In the end, whether a self-fulfilling prophesy or not... IF something occurs, the results will be the same.

The biggest issues, for me, are NOT to fear or panic and take each day as one would any other. What the rest of the world does should have no effect on how you live YOUR personal life.

Nice redoubt, a very good way to put it. I feel as you do, put fear out of the mind, it only slows your growth as a person and as a human being. To bad most don`t follow that train of thought. That is why our world is in the state that it is in right now. Way to much clutter in the mindsets of people.
