Hide your pot fields! (lol)
Hey guys, found this interesting news article on the new ways Russia combating the marijuana issue. Seems to me that this is an expensive way to crackdown on a drug that is not nearly as bad as coc aine, ecstasy, meth or any of the other really bad drugs...

Here is some text from the article:

ABC's Alexander Marquardt reports from Moscow: Russia’s drug police now have another weapon in their arsenals -- spy satellites.

A senior Russian counter-narcotics official in Russia’s Far East said Thursday that his forces are teaming up with the country’s space agency -- Roscosmos -- to find and destroy cannabis fields.

"We have been in contact with Roscosmos since late last year," Lt. Gen. Alexander Rolik told reporters, according to state-run news agency RIA Novosti.

Rolik said Roscosmos sends the police the coordinates of the fields, which are then destroyed. So far, the partnership has resulted in the destruction of 119 acres of marijuana and the seizure of 4.4 tons.

“We provide all regional departments of the Federal Drug Control Service with video and photo materials and our monitoring,” Roscosmos spokesman Alexander Vorobjev told ABC News, declining to disclose their methods.

Gen. Rolik told reporters that satellites have been used successfully in the Amur and Ural regions of the country, according to RIA Novosti’s report.

A year ago, Swiss police spotted a hemp field on Google Earth measuring almost two acres.

Well, looks like we'll all have to grow inside...

LOL - jokes.

I agree with the above sentiments - why not use this hi-tech method to "crack" (pardon the pun) down on Meth and Eccies and Heroin labs?

legalize nature.

rebel against what?

these dummies can spend all they want, and try as hard as the possibly can..

they will never, and I mean....
absolutely never...
make this medicine disappear.

the "war" on nature has already been won,
they are deluding themselves by keeping this crap up.
and spending your money to do it.

I truly feel that they would have a better chance of wiping out humans altogether , than they would trying to wipe the cannabis plant off the Planet.

It will never happen , friends.

But just for good measure....

Everyone still with a mind of their own... ,
do your part to "spread the love", "plant the seeds", , heal the planet.

As long as me, or any of my wide group of friends/acquaintences have seeds, they will never destroy it.

It's unbelievable the amount of negative propaganda there is out there about it - all derrived from an idea to help INDUSTRY. Well, that's what i see in any case.

New scientific studies into THC (active ingrediant in Marijuana) show that it has many positive effects on the human body, as well as being a counter-carcinogen. I often wonder if they attempt to keep this plant subdued to help their machine of Medical industry pumping out the detrimental drugs.

I have to say though - Pot can be damaging for those who are predisposed to mental dissorders. Hereditary lineage can be shown to prove that mental illness runs through families. Sometimes, it can bring these problems to the forefront and the person who usually struggles to cope with their everyday events/thoughts is thrown into a world where they feel complete loss of control.

Whereas on most others i have observed, it makes them relaxed, happy, talkative and interested in things they might not usually be interested in. A friend of mine for example, goes to the gym after he has had a chop. Amazing! he even thinks that due to it thinning the blood slightly, he get's a bigger "pump" on. HAHAH oh, man - he makes me laugh.

But hey, my point is, that i have seen so many positives from this plant - where the hell did they get the idea that it was BAD for EVERYONE. I mean, antibiotics are bad for SOME people... Some people cannot even eat PEANUTS. Everyone has a weakness in their body. But to promote this herb as a danger to humanity - I THINK NOT -

A danger to t.p.t.b - i think so. They certainly don't want people thinking outside any imposed square they have shackled on us.

I like you. I'm not a smoker as i'm pregnant, but i've been on several perscription drugs for depression and they had me literally trying to drive my car into a wall - looked at the pamphlet - side effect - "suicide" hmmm. Doctor didnt mention that when handing over my perscription! But this plant, this WONDERFUL plant, helped me live my life with a smile on my face, helped me get out of bed and lose 50 pounds that the perscription meds helped put on, helped me interact with people again. Helped me develop a mind of my own, and i no longer felt like a 'zombie'

Off topic, but more needs to be done to study it, rather then the bad word it cops from MSM & politicians. Don't ban it, study it!

EDIT - i knew it was a big quote - but i've seen bigger and i agreed with all of it, so i couldnt cut it out. Oh well.

This just proves again that there is far more money to be made by the private sector by not leaglizing it and continuing to use billions of dollars to survey and destroy.

Thanks! You're an Aussie like me! - says a lot about the country we live in. Congratulations on being pregnant! Going to be an interesting world when the little bub comes out - at least with a level headed mother, the child will have every opporuity available to it to progress and become what it should be. An individual and a thinker! I wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy and i hope the little fella/bella comes out fighting fit and striving for truth!

I have also had meds (Anti-D's) prescribed to me. I'd say that they should exercise extreme caution when prescribing these things. I had Zoloft for 2 years before coming off it of my own volition. The effects this drug had on me, were noticable to my fiance and to my fmaily around me and my friends.

Obvious and drawn out periods of depression. I stopped enjoying time with my family and became an anti-social recluse. Quite the contrast to the social "butterfly" i was when i first met my fiance.

After not being able to find reasons to exit bed in the morning, i remembered something - When i smoked, i genuinly felt better. I genuinly had interest in things. It almost gave me a renewed perspective on things. As i don;t smoke anymore - too much of anything IS BAD - i have no need for anti d's and don't feel like i need weed to be happy every day - though in a way, weed helped me rediscover the many parts of life that i used to dislike or avoid.

Im not telling people to go out and smoke this stuff, cause like i said before, it can be detrimental for some. But laws against this plant are ridiculous.

If there is any lesson here - it's DONT GO ON PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.

They thoroughly diminish the outlook and experiences of those who go on them and they are more often than not - prescribed under the wrong circumstances.

poisons.

reading this all i can think of is the line from south park

"really"

i mean really, its that serious?

its really that bad that we need to go into space to deal with the marijuana situation

look, if its gotten to the point where governments have done so much to stop marijuana, and people are trying to hard to keep it around, that we have to go into space, id say thats the time for the government to concede the loss

really though, wasting that many resources over marijuana

scratch everything i said, i dont blame the government for doing it, i blame we the people for letting them, i mean what the hell is our world population thinking that we are letting the government get this insane about the situation

when are we going to say enough is enough and JUST SAY NO, to the war on drugs

just to reiterate my point

the world is in the middle of an almost global depression, the global economy is arguably in the toilet, there is violence and terrorism everywhere, there are worldwide budget crisis' going on

and we are putting things into space to combat marijuana

on paper, what is being discussed, sounds like something from a south park episode

whats really scary though, is this is not a south park episode, this is real life, this is reality earth and we look truly pathetic

if "they" really gave a sh!t,
they would be using all their "cooler than sci-fi" weapons and technology to wipe out all of the meth houses and crack houses, and any other garbage that rots people away. ( Big Pharma would be a good place to point those space based weapons as well) lol

i was thinking again about my previous comment,

That, "they would have a better chance of wiping out humans than the cannabis plant"...

actually... the only way they might have a fighting chance, would be to wipe out all humans. lol ( good luck)

Cannabis and Humans have created a symbiotic relationship with each other that will last forever.

Both helping the other to evolve, and continue on.... forever.

ohh. p.s... why wipe out crack and meth when your the ones who created it in the first place? It is certainly doing what you all intended it to.
It is killing and destroying millions, nearly everyday! good job!!!

Peace, Love, Equality, and Nature!
ohh, and Blessings to!

thank god i live in cali, where we have a friendlier approach to the plant...just north of me people can grow an unlimited number of plants as long as they have a prescription...in my town 30 cannibis clubs have sprouted up recently to help those in need...i wish the rest of the nation would follow suit and at least decriminalize the plant or legalize it all together...what a more peaceful world it would be...

Because cannabis "outs" itself by giving off heat at night. A pretty unique infrared heat signature in the plant world.

This is pretty dumb using satalites is expensive, they could get a lot more done with napalm or agent orange.

It's a wrong (or special wrong) translation. Here it look like "spy satellites" "find and destroy cannabis fields" by itself. It's not right. Police just analyze photos about free lands where nobody can do anything. After that check them by hands and eyes. If it's so & drugs on the place, they call to wash that land by herbicides and just simple agricultural machinery. That's all.

Hello from Siberia, by the way.

I don't know about you, but I would much prefer the smell of marijuana in the morning over napalm.

Second line.

Now more Marijuana plants will be senselessly slaughtered. Yes it is an endless war on stationary vegetation!

Now the burners of grass have satellites!

(I hope I brightened everyone's day)
