I could make this very a long-winded post, but I'll spare you all. I know you are intuitive enough to do your own research and make your own conclusions.

I was over at flightaware.com and decided to take a look at the activity in Port-au-prince.
MTPP Airport Activity

A couple of C-130's as expected, but some of the others seem "odd". If you mouse over the tail number, the company name will be shown.

B & C General Contractors (Banner Elk, NC)
LANCE AIR
VISION AIR
Hop-A-Jet

I googled one of the tail numbers and came across this article:
www.spectator.sk...

Are these planes delivering aid? Take a look for yourselves, let me know what you think.

Do you think they are reaping the crop? The last chance before the looters get it and stash it away in caves.?

Hmm.

Wonder if there was a rendition centre on Haiti and now everythings gone kablooey they're moving the spooks out?

Or, conversely, what a great place for some folks to go missing, in an earthquake zone - the biggest natural disaster of the year.

The government uses a lot of contract aircraft and since Iraq and afghanistan are taking a lot of military aircraft they likely have even more under contract to fill the need for aircraft.

This is not unusual in times of need and many of these aircraft can be called up quickly.

The government can also call up US civilian ships if they need them.

Can you please explain what you mean by this?
What is a 'rendition centre' and why would there have been one?
And what could have caused the rendition centre to "go kablooey"?
Who are 'the spooks'?
I hope this is not a racial remark.

This sentence of yours make no sense to me.
Is there some message you are trying to convey?

If so, can you put it in terms for a simple minded person? Thank you.

Sure.

A rendition centre is a place where "enemy combatants" or other such "political" enemies of the US are moved to and housed - illegally - without the knowledge of anyone but the people who move them there, in order to detain, question/torture them in the interests of "national security".

The CIA seem to have a number of these centres around the world, and fly people in and out of them without regard for the intelligence agencies and national police forces of the countries they are situated in.

I'm sure other countries probably do it as well.

And what could have caused the rendition centre to "go kablooey"?

Massive earthquake - have you seen the news recently?

Spook is a general and accepted term for operatives of many countries secret services, such as the CIA, MI6, KGB etc.

Hope I helped

Noticed just recently that a Cessna Citation, tail number N911UM is en route. The plane is owned by Bank of America. This is getting fun to watch.

So....?
I'm sure many corporate aircraft are going to be used, as well as many civilian contractors. Some are hired, some are donated.
What's the big deal?
