So it's not really a reshuffle?

More like musical chairs only you don't have to take one chair out each time, and instead of music everyone runs around to the sound of protests in the street.

And yesterday the Supreme Court said that Hebron had to be left alone... was that payback from angry IDF soldiers? After all, the extreme right wing wants to annex Hebron as it is very important to them. Me thinks this was done independently of the Israeli government.

I don't think so.. Probably just the usual occupation bull#..

Weighing request? Are you kidding? People are being slaughtered and you're ``thinking`` about it?

Oh come on, the request was just filed this morning... There's no way they'd say no, but these things aren't magically approved...

The UN, as always, shows how sick it is.

Sadly, as long as it fits their narrative, people will never stop taking the U.N and the UNHRC seriously.

Ain't that ironic... but at least Iran wasn't THAT violent compared to that nutjob Gadafi.

Makes sense that they'd say that.. Such hypocrites..

2.57pm: Libya's former justice minister, who resigned from Gaddafi's government following the crackdown on protesters, has told a Swedish tabloid newspaper that Gaddafi personally ordered the Lockerbie bombing, which killed 270 people in 1988.

A reporter from Expressen interviewed Mustafa Abdel-Jalil in Libya. The newspaper's website quotes the former minister as saying: "I have proof that Gaddafi gave the order about Lockerbie."

No proof or evidence to support the claim is given in the article.

He is finished either way...The Problem right now is his ordered Genocide against his own People. But what really worries me is this Article.

If i read that right,Gaddafi tried to get WMD´s,especially Nuclear Weapons, numerous Times in the Past, even secretly trough Black Markets...

After everything he has done in the last few Days,i think its pretty safe to say,he will use them sooner or later...(if he has any...)

Yeah but I hate how governments operate like that. People are in need right freaking NOW and governments are slow as hell.

So... I should make a big post with all the news of the day, mostly concerning Libya... in about an hour or two... got things to do...

Last news is that I was monitoring a Chinese cargo plane that was going to land in Libya to get refugees out... and it disappeared from the radar as soon as it crossed into Libyan's airspace... If Libya really shot down the plane... they are going to be in a world of hurt.

And yes, Libya got WMDs... chemical weapons and biological weapons to be precise... and people fear Qaddafi the nut might use them when his end approaches.

"They've looted ... the German camp next door, they've taken all their vehicles, all our vehicles ... everything. So we are here desperate for the British government to come and get us," Coyle said.

Today in Benghazi they discovered a room underground, a room that is completely locked-in. Completely locked. Holding 1500 young men from Benghazi. From the 15th of February the first day of demonstrations to today when they got them out, the 22nd, they had been without food or water. They heard the voices from the barracks, noise, people. After they went to check, they got them out, God be praised, alive. 1500 young men, buried alive, buried alive. Muammar must be obliterated. We will not surrender. Second Suspected Syria Nuclear Site Is Found

A second suspected nuclear installation has been identified in Syria, according to commercial satellite photos, providing new evidence that Damascus may have been pursuing atomic weapons before a 2007 Israeli military strike.

The publishing Wednesday of the photos by Washington's Institute for Science and International Security could increase pressure on the United Nations to demand expansive new inspections of suspect Syrian facilities during a March board meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

So... remember those two Iranian ships who just docked in Syria? What if they brought parts for the nuclear facility?

Syria :
Satellite images reveal 'uranium conversion plant' in Syria

Uranium facility discovered near Marj as Sultan, close to Damascus, reports 'Sueddeutsche Zeitung'; reactor may be related to al Kibar project bombed by Israel in September 2007.

Syria is suspected of harboring a uranium conversion reactor near the town of Marj as Sultan, near Damascus, according to a publication released Wednesday by the Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security based on reports by the German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung.

Satellite images of the site near Marj as Sultan, obtained by the ISIS, reveal that on July 25, 2008, there was considerable activity involving the pouring of material on the ground as well as trucks and other vehicles that could have been related to the operation.

The ISIS document said this could have been part of a plan to lay down concrete or asphalt, which could be "an attempt to defeat the environmental sampling that IAEA inspectors would likely carry out to see if uranium was present in the event of a visit to these suspect sites."

The ISIS document cites information from Sueddeutsche Zeitung revealing that among the equipment kept inside two buildings near the Marj as Sultan site, there was a scrubber, two cyclone separators, large diameter pipes, a manifold, reaction vessels made from stainless steel, and storage tanks.

This equipment is in line with "what would be expected in a small uranium conversion facility," the ISIS report said.

Now this whole report smells funny. The timing of it... the pics were taken ON JULY 25 2008... 3 years ago... and they report it NOW... the day after Iranian ships dock in Syria... yeah total coincidence. This stinks of war propaganda.

There could be nothing real in the building... it could be a normal building... just claims that's it's an uranium enrichment facility... it wouldn't be their first ``mistake``... yeah mistake... that's it... like WMDs in Iraq... was all a mistake.

Russia can no longer support future sanctions against Iran - Lavrov

Russia will not support future sanctions against Iran, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in London on Tuesday.

"With the approval of Resolution 1929 in [June] last year, practical possibilities to impose sanctions on those related - even indirectly - to the Iranian nuclear program have been exhausted," Lavrov said at a news conference with his British counterpart William Hague.

"Further sanctions would mean the suppression of the Iranian economy and creation of social problems for the population," Lavrov said. "We cannot support this."

+1 Sanctions should hurt the leadership, not the people. That's why sanctions against North Korea about food is ridiculous and literally MURDERING them. But eh, like the elite cares about people.

Bahrain :
The Gulf's terror of democracy

There's a specter haunting the Persian Gulf: democracy.

This Tuesday, no less than 20% of the population of Bahrain poured into the Lulu (Pearl) roundabout in Manama in its biggest anti-feudal monarchy demonstration intimately connected to the great 2011 Arab revolt. A whole cross-section of Bahraini society - teachers, lawyers, engineers, their wives and children - rolled along in a wide, unbroken column of red and white, the colors of the national flag.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saudi Arabia :

This Wednesday, there were reasons to believe the revolt was finally hitting the holy grail, ie, the House of Saud, as 100 youngsters hit the streets of Hafar al-Batin, in northeast Saudi Arabia, calling for the end of its drenched-in-oil feudal monarchy. What's extraordinary is that this happened as "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" Saudi King Abdullah, 85, was returning home after three months following surgery in the US and convalescence in Morocco - amid massive regime propaganda, complete with Orientalist touches such as men in white robes doing traditional Bedouin sword dances on special carpets.

The guy is 85! He's about to die... by protests or natural death, the guy will soon be gone!

Qaddafi is about to fall... but it seems that even if Qaddafi would be gone right now, this ain't over. This ain't like Egypt. Towns who have fallen to ``rebels`` are turning into anarchy. In Egypt, people had solidarity and were policing themselves... it's not happening in Libya.

Tribes are fighting with each other, militias are being created and there's conflict between militias from different tribes and even tribes fighting their own tribes.

Gaddafi talking right now...

2.17pm: Gaddafi is talking at long last. He starts off in bizarre fashion, accusing protesters of drinking pills that make them commit "animal acts". He says the protesters have been brainwashed by Osama bin Laden, whose people have been giving protesters these pills.

2.21pm: There are no images of Gaddafi, just his disembodied voice on Al-Jazeera, adding to the surreal nature of the occasion. While his regime crumbles, he's talking about kids taking pills. It really is like Nero fiddling while Rome burns.

2.24pm: He is again blaming al-Qaida for turning Libya's "youngsters and children" against the regime. He says there are only a few "inciters" who also happen to be against the west. Is this a cack-handed appeal to gain western sympathy? If so it's an odd way of going about things, which will merely confirm Gaddafi's tenuous grasp on reality.

2.27pm: Now that the oil has stopped, says Gaddafi, how will the people survive. Will bin Laden support the people, he asks. How are people going to buy cars, get married or buy goods that were cheaply available, he goes on. Maybe there will be a "revision of salaries and other incomes".

Hope the Translator gets trough this without weeping...sure sounds like it. Poor Guy...

Edit: I wonder what drugs he takes...pretty heavy Stuff i guess...seriously,this guy is completely insane.

He stopped, thank God,this was even more weird than his last Speech.

2.32pm: He's blaming bin Laden for Iraq and Afghanistan as well. "All they want is to kill your kids, that's what bin Laden wants, he should be happy now, that's what he wants," says Gaddafi. Again he says Libyans should take responsibility for the country as he has handed power to them through people's committees.

2.29pm: I am trying to show you parental advice, says Gaddafi adopting a father of the nation tone. He now compares himself to the Queen saying he is in a similar position to her. He cannot make rules, only offer advice. He is returning to the "hallucination pills" that young Libyans are supposed to be ingesting. More Queen comparisons. He does not have the authority to impose rules on the people. "I have become more of a symbolic leader".

2.37pm: Gaddafi says he doesn't know when the violence will come to an end but urges parents to take away the "guns from the kids" and arrest those behind the violence. He wonders whether bin Laden will compensate the victims' families. Gaddafi also mentions bin Laden's theoretician, al-Zawahiri. His monologue has come to an end. He spoke for about half an hour. It was an extraordinary rant, trying to blame bin Laden and jihadists, who he said had given hallucination pills to young Libyans. It will confirm that Gaddafi is totally out of touch if he really believed in what he was saying.

By the way- What's with the mispronunciation of the name? Ghadaffi, Gadafi, etc...

Muamar Qadafi, moo'ah'mah'r Qah'dah'fee, the A is like an ah or ha sound (without the h), not an eh sound.

I think everyone writes it different. Those Quotes are from the Guardian Live-Blog btw.

Funny thing is,CNN showed like 5 Minutes of his Speech, made a short Comment on it and cut away to different Topics. Didnt hear what they say,but i think the Translator just gave up or they got tired of his inate Ramblings. I could understand both, hehe.

Cant....stop....laughing

3.54pm: Reuters has a detail from Muammar Gaddafi's speech that we did not pick up on earlier:

Muammar Gaddafi ... said the protesters were fuelled by milk and Nescafe spiked with hallucinogenic drugs ...

"Their ages are 17. They give them pills at night, they put hallucinatory pills in their drinks, their milk, their coffee, their Nescafe," said Gaddafi.

Thanks for the updates. You oughta get a medal from ATS for your efforts.

Libya is certainly not like Egypt. In Egypt and Tunisia, the military had largely kept a hands off approach to the revolution, and thus could be trusted for objectivity on the political issue.

But ufortunately in Libya, large swarthes of the military commanders remained loyal to the Beast, and had instructed their men, largely foreigners to murder their own countrymen. Thankfully, a few in the military disobeyed, but far too few. Thus the military is not trusted, and in their absence, the power grabs by tribes starts, for Libya had no civilised civilian administration infrastructure in place, for the beast trusted no one and his cabinet were rubber stamping buffoons.

The anarchy may last slightly longer even when the beast is eliminated. During this interim, there should be NO foreign troops in Libya, or they will be held liable by contesting tribal groups for taking sides. This is vital and critical. This is not a time to play heroes. The world will instead become villians.

Better thing to do is for the UN to call for a halt to the tribal power grabs, invite each and every tribal leader at UN's expense to Geneva, and let them discuss and debate amongst themselves on how they can compromise, share power and alleviate/elevate the lives of the suffering Libyans.

The world stands ready to help, but self determination must be Libya's fundamental right and initiation.
