Your trying to connect one person's stupid decision with somebody else being responsible.
this is exactly the whole point about government: They never could, can't & never will be capable of any guarantees for your personal security. The
Supreme Court ruled that even the police officers on the scene if you are caught up as the victim of a crime, are simply
not responsible for
your safety.
The same is true for the government on the whole: The Constitution provides for resistance/protection in the case of foreign invasion; That's what
the State Militias & our 2nd Amendment Rights are for; These are the
specifics in the Constitution that is generalized by the Preamble phrase
"provide for the common defense." They have
zero authority under the Law to compromise any part of the Constituiton in favor of another. In
short,
you are the final responsibility for your own security. It wasn't the "system" that caught the underwear bomber...It was
the
people on the plane that really stopped it. Those people took responsibility for their own safety
on the scene because the government is
simply
not capable for doing it for you.
All the government can do is set ever-expanding "systems" to act against
your Rights & liberties under Law & forcibly take
your money
to support those systems. It still surprises me how few people there are that
haven't bothered to look at history & how government really
work...How few people actually realize how much this "goverment" violates the very same Laws that created their jobs (under
our support) in
the first place. How many people fail to realize that they occupy those offices
with our consent & that they have to act
within the Law
to keep those jobs? We the People are their
employers & We the People can
remove them from those jobs when they fail to follow the
Constitution; It is, in truth, their contract of employment & every day people can see how much they disobey that contract.
For example, how about those "back-room deals" that are rampant in the legislation of the Health Care Reform? They use
our money to bribe
each other for "special deals" on virtually every Bill on which they "deliberate" & they've been doing it for
decades! Look in the
Constitution & see what the
Penalties Under the Law that they must face for committing
bribery!

You know what, it's the airport's fault. The government should leave this crap to the airlines and airports.
Yep, this is where the responsibility of airport security lies...With the airport itself; They are the ones who conduct their
business by
selling the convenience of travel...So they are also the ones who must provide for their own security. By allowing the government to butt in, they
only violate Rights when under Oath to uphold & protect our Rights.
