I searched on this site and did not see a thread for this which suprised me.

The Eclipse

"will be visible as a partial eclipse in much of Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Asia. It will be seen as annular within a narrow stretch of 300 km (190 mi) width across Central Africa, Maldives, South Kerala, South Tamil Nadu, North Sri Lanka, Burma and China."

Unfortunately those of us in the USA won't get to see it.

Just trying to bump this so others see it. I haven't heard much about, and thought it would be helpful to spread the news.

Maybe next time I won't start a thread at 4 in the morning

I wanna see it...maybe we can have that "pole shift"(not a magnetic pole shift, I mean that crazy theory about a litteral pole swap-I'm laughing thinking about it) in the next two days, and when the wold turns uspide down my side of the planet will be in the right place....hmmm, thats probably being too hopeful.
Hope they enjoy it as much as I would!

Although interesting, a long duration annular solar eclipse is nowhere near as impressive as a total eclipse.

Thanks for posting the info ... have to admit I knew nothing about it.
