Israel: Peace Wish As Hummus Record Broken

u2w3.com

Israeli Arab and Jewish chefs have served up a world record for cooking hummus in the name of Middle East peace.

More than fifty cooks from both sides of Israel's religious divide filled a seven-metre-wide satellite dish with four tonnes of the dip.
The chefs mashed up the monster mix of chickpeas, sesame paste, olive oil, lemon juice and garlic to make twice as much as when the record was set last October.
The Guinness world record idea was originally cooked up by Lebanese chefs who claimed the record last year.

This is making Sky News so I figured Breaking Alternative news was ok to push this story.... it is very 'alternative'.

Humus - one of my fave foods is being made into a political show. The good news is it looks like Arab and Jews have got together to make the largest dish in the world. This is going to annoy the Lebanese....still better than rockets.

I am guessing they watched "Don't mess with the Zohan" and wanted to both get super-human strength and reactions.

Joking aside, it's nice to see this and brings a smile to my face. The media is centred on the hatred that it is nice to see supposed opposites working together. I am sure there are plenty or friendships between Arabs and Jews.

Right, I am off to make some Humus....

I wonder if there is any internet site where we could check the global consumption rates of hummus-because if there is such a site I reckon that a lot more people than usual will be hitting the hummus today, after seeing this world record.
I predict a global spike in hummus consumption.
It could create problems, maybe shift the planet off its axis or something.

Oh well, screw it-I'm still having a hummus covered stonebaked pizza for tea tonight.

Om nom nom.
