Hello all,

I had another good idea yesterday evening. Why not making a reliability/authenticity score or mark in some forums (like in UFO's and Cryptozoology for example) ?

This would be interesting for people reading posts on ATS to have an idea of the reliability of the informations gave on ATS. And it would give us an image more serious.

If they did what you suggest 98% of scores would be -1000000000 points as most of the info are ideas with no evidance to back up.That`s why sites like this are so popular, you can just make up anything you want to cos theres noway of knowing who anyone is.

P.S don`t take any of the info on this site serious until they knock you`r door.

It's a great idea, Nans, but I don't see how acurate marking could ever be achieved. How could it be done correctly, and without causing massive arguments about the score the threads were given?

Yeah I think the personal reliability vote idea is a drama bomb just aching to go off. DBS does not think its a good idea.

Although I do refute weirdos claims, as well as his long series of
smilies. It seems you have missed the whole point of ATS, people who come and post unfounded or factually incorrect claims are always given a rough time. ATS is about Denying Ignorance. People come here to see and help analyse theories and ideas.

Sure there are plenty of posters that are rather less than educated on specific subjects. But they are in the minority, and generally not treated very gently by other members.

Besides, if it concerns you, get out and help out showing people the error of their ways.

That idea sounds cool! It would be neat to repay people who have done alot of work.
