entertainment magazines are representative of the values held by very many people.

Anyway, has there been an abnormal number of notable deaths recently, say since Micheal Jackson's death? Let us compare the number of notable deaths
within that time to the number within the same period in 2008.
I referred to wikipedia, which maintains a list of notable deaths.
en.wikipedia.org...
en.wikipedia.org...
Notable Deaths Since Micheal Jackson's death on June 25th 2009, through year's end.
June: 52
July: 274
August: 305
September: 326
Ocbober: 317
November: 274
December: 332
Total: 1880
Notable Deaths for the same period in 2008.
June: 48
July: 219
August: 252
September: 271
October: 282
November: 252
December: 290
Total: 1614
So according to these numbers, there was a 16.5% increase in notable deaths in the last 6 months since Micheal Jackson's death, over the same time
during the year 2008.
