Sounds good to me I would love to get my CCW but have not had the extra money to get it. I am armed in the home, you have to be around here but would love to be able to carry.

See what you can find here and I will promise you (if you have no criminal record) we will find a way to get you that permit.
There are alot of really smart folks on these threads.

You can apply for a CCW and carry it that way, put there is no law allowing you to carry it in the open as of yet.

Ok so after doing some research i found that the 2nd Amendment was made in 1791.

en.wikipedia.org...

The right to bare arms is a term used for hand weapons as the term firearm is not used.

Firearms weren't popular till the mid 1800's as the link below states.

en.wikipedia.org...

So after doing a few minutes in research i find that,

1) you are allowed to bare arms-having nothing in your hands or having a hand weapon like a sword.

2) the 2nd Amendment- does not protect your modern weaponry from being taken.

The talk about landmines being used, i saw it in someones post, is not likely in the revolutionary war time period, ALTHOUGH i do know landmines were being used in chinese wars.

Back to the topic, The vote on guns, is a test by the government to see how smart people are on the topic. Most people will vote yes, thinking about the modern weaponry we have today, when it only means you are allowed to have a sword.

just my 2cents

The vote doesn't mean they actually are going to let you keep your guns, they just want to know, if you know that

How about i send you an American lawyer?

The BAR stands for British Acredited Regancy.

hmmmm! That means there is only British Squire lawyers and no such thing as an American Lawyer, except for 1 person that i know of. He has done alot of research and gave me alot of information on the court/law systems we see today.

Huntington Beach is in California yeah.

I am 100% former American Immigrant, thanks to past relatives hehe.

Parliment, believe it or not is owned by the Rothschild, Rothschild also owns the queen of England.

The Rothschild bought out England, gave permission to colonize America, created a false intention for war, had the war, which created the debt to enslave the colonists and have been stacking debt up for American's ever since.

Seems like for the last 12,000 years or so we all are immigrants.
Check out Charlston Heston of NRA fame and movies too!
In the 'The Mountain Men" he is a naked trapper in the Rockies when
a pack train pulls up. How he addresses the situation is IMO Classic.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

Seems interesting, perhaps a bright torch the NRA could use in a gloomy situation?

Snap . . . if that is brought to light, gun controlling governments will get owned hard.

The part about a militia is not about the dick act its based on the militias in the colonies before the revolution.

The British colonies had town based militias in each town to protect the towns.
It has nothing to do with armies or the military.

It was to protect the colonies from the french and Indians and the Spanish.

The history of militia in the United States dates from the colonial era, such as in the American Revolutionary War.[31] Based on the British system, colonial militias were drawn from the body of adult male citizens of a community, town, or local region. Because there were usually few British regulars garrisoned in North America, colonial militia served a vital role in local conflicts, particularly in the French and Indian Wars.

In the 2008 decision of the Supreme Court in District of Columbia v. Heller, the de jure definition of "militia" as used in United States jurisprudence was discussed. The court's opinion made explicit, in its obiter dicta, that the term "militia", as used in colonial times in this originalist decision, included both the federally-organized militia and the citizen-organized militias of the several States: ".

en.wikipedia.org...

At the time of the writing of the constitution there was no permanent standing army or national guard.

This part where the anti gun people say that a militia means the army or national guard is totally bogus.

This is one thing we can thank the british for as they are what allows us to own guns. As much as they hate the idea.

The Dick act of 1902 is something I had never heard of. This act is quite informative to say the least. It just goes to prove that our government has been pulling the wool over our eyes for at least 100 years.

Hey ANNED,
Thanks for the info.
These acts and laws do have some confusing language. And are always open for intepretation.
Is the Dick act you point out the very same one as above.
The 1902 part is what threw me.
Your info seems way earlier (Revolutionary War)?
First cup of coffee for me. Just want to make sure we are all on the same page.
I was hoping we could start a new thread.
Something like" Why is this Dick so xxxx difficult " oops!
thanks again Donny
