What are you eating? How is it made?
While I like UFO videos as much as the next ATS member, and I like reading about climate change and celestial dangers, I stumbled upon something that
concerns me even more.
Food is our fuel. Like gas is fuel for our cars, food fuels our bodies. You can always buy new parts for your car, but until technology proves
otherwise, we only have ONE body.
But while we question the fuss on gas and oil, do you ever question where YOUR fuel comes from?
We, collectively.... are being duped.
Where does it come from? How is it produced? You would be amazed, and probably sickened.
Approximately 10 billion animals (chickens, cattle, hogs, ducks, turkeys, lambs and sheep) are raised and killed in the US annually. Nearly all of
them are raised on factory farms under inhumane conditions. These industrial farms are also dangerous for their workers, pollute surrounding
communities, are unsafe to our food system and contribute significantly to global warming.

Sounds like everyone is losing this deal, doesnt it? The animals, us..even the workers! But wait...the guys at the top arent losing anything. They are
GAINING. Billions.
Just like big business runs the Oil racket, they run the food industry also.
It seems like that are many brands out there, but there arent. Most food comes from only a few sources. Look at CONAGRA foods.
Con Agra product list
This does not include the generic "store brands" they also produce. They are one of only a few.
Tyson pretty much runs the meat industry. They are a monopoly, that employs many private farmers as "Tyson family
Farmers". Thats a cutesy, and wholesome name. The private farmers are usually forced to upgrade, to hold more livestock. If they refuse to upgrade,
then their contracts are dropped. Their already meager living, taken away.
Some reading on Contract farming
Corny as it may sound......
Corn seems to rule our crop system. If you walk into a grocery store right now, a good percentage will have corn additives.
Heres an interesting list:
You are screwed if you have a corn
allergy
High fructose corn syrup is one of the largest contributers to American Obesity. Yet you can find it, disguised by many other names, in a large number
of foods.
But, I only eat the healthy stuff!!
As I am sure you have noticed, there has been a recent surge in advertising the healthy attributes of popular food.
"0 trans fats!"
"14 grams of fiber"
"20 grams of whole wheat grains"
These attributes do little for you if there are laden with sugar as well.
There are some angry mothers out there and rightfully so.
As a society, do you want to be remembered as someone who could be bought and sold?
We are being lied to about what we eat. This should be a primary concern to ALL of us, yet it isnt.
I have quite alot of research done on the subject, and plan to post alot more on this thread.
But first, Id like to hear what you may know about the secrets of our food production.
Do you know what you eat?
Do you care?
Should there be laws, forcing companies to tell the truth?
What do you say, my fellow ATS'ers?
