That "oath" you so casually disregard was the one that all soldiers take to defend the Constitution, and swearing to obey all lawful orders of those placed in authority over them. Pretty hard to disregard that oath if you have any semblance of honor and integrity...which he does.

I have a sneaking hunch that if he had been ordered to remain silent about something so, quite literally, earthshaking; he would have disobeyed...and devil take the cost to him personally.

Just my humble opinion, of course...

I don't take any oath lightly or casually, especially the one both Armstrong and I took when we entered the military.

But there comes a time when "We The People" deserve to know the truth. All of it. And "We The People" are who the Constitution and our government are supposed to serve.

We continue to dump untold billions of dollars into a space program that hasn't been completely forthright with the taxpayers. That's not even including "Black" military projects. And I'm tired of officials using "National Security" as a blanket excuse.

I feel for people like Neil Armstrong because they had to take their oaths before they knew exactly what secrets they were going to have to keep from their families and the public. But enough is enough.

I believe that the world can handle truth. But the longer the truth is kept from us, the worse the reaction will be when we finally find out what the truth is.

That oath the military takes does not talk about keeping information. THat is something entirely different. its called OPSEC. Operation Security. You dont talk about maneuvers, and locations as that information may get out to the wrong people. you dont talk about top secret missions etc, for the same reason. the only OATH one takes when they join is to uphold the constitution, and the American way of life against foreign and domestic threats. That oath is violated every bloody day. So this so-called oath that armstrong is holding on to is bullox! The rest is violated, why keep just that one part?

The truth can only be stifled or hidden if INFORMATION CAN BE CONTROLLED OR MANIPULATED.

We will create a global democracy and abolish a money based global economy,we will provide for religos beliefs that incorporate the best interests of humanity FIRST in their doctrines and then DIVERSIFY from there,sorry but there will be no forgiveness by a divine god of any religon in the future,YOU WILL ANSWER TO HUMANITY AND THROUGH THE VOICE AND HAND OF HUMANITY AS PROVIDED BY A GLOBAL DEMOCRACY COMPRISED OF EVERY LIVING HUMAN ON EARTH.

This is the only path we can choose to turn this trojan horse into our own weapon,a weapon to create strength in our institutions,a weapon to clean up and make accountable these great but neglected pillars of humanity.Instead of allowing ourselves to be incited to overthrow or ignore these ,our greatest strengths.

Nope, it's just a forty year old grocery store tabloid hoax article getting regurgitated into the innocent faces of a fresh audience.

Stop being such easy patsies for the real hoaxers, check out the claims compared to real spaceflight history -- read those books, and after awhile you'll have a good basis for understanding the genuinely unearthly arena of outer space. It's an amazine story even without UFO myths.

Earlier in this thread I asked you what you feel Neil Armstrong meant when he made the "peeling back the layers of truth" comment.

A lot more of those astronauts than we know do know more then what they are leading on to.

One of them needs to present a smoking gun and im sure one of them has one.
