It's valid all right. But it can be dangerous.

There are many reasons against it. Suffering being one of them. Why would anyone want to inflict sufferings on themselves.

Appearences are decieving. The reality is that you control nothing except how you react. I've watched too many people deal with that fact before they go off to meet their maker.
