The VISION OVNI group disclosed yesterday that “the community of Joaquin V. González in the Province of Salta was shaken by the presence – in broad daylight – of a cigar-shaped object that crossed the skies of this locality.” A mysterious interruption of cell phone service was reported while the phenomenon occurred.

“The phenomenon was recorded on Tuesday the 15th at 17:00 hours and was seen by a considerable segment of the population, which followed the strange device’s maneuvers in astonishment,” said Silvia Pérez Simondini, director of the VISION OVNI group. She also remarked “witnesses interviewed by researcher Tony Galvagno stated that what they saw [on this occasion] was identical to the one seen days earlier, but this time without lights.”

It was also reported that the “VISION OVNI investigator noted that the object was metallic, and that [the town] has been left without utilities yet again. Computers and cell phones are inoperative. With regard to the latter, the Personal mobile telephony company was contacted. No technical explanation was offered on the event, increasing the mystery of the strange phenomenon.”

So what's going on? This is very strange to me. First we have what would be an amazing sighting, with absolutely no follow-up interviews, or articles, at least none that I could find, in the weeks following the event.

And it returns? In broad daylight, this time affecting cell service?

So... does anyone live near, or know anyone from Joaquin V. Gonzalez? I'd love to read some interviews. This is baffling. This should be HUGE news if it's legitimate, and it's barely registering a blip, I honestly don't get it.

Yeah. I'm from Arg. but where i live (Capital), the event was completely unnoticed, except in the "related-circles". This kinda makes it hard to believe. but nonetheless the area (North-West) along with the Andes region seems rather active in "strange happenings". I'm still hoping to hear (and see) anything about the JVGonzalez incident.

I'm afraid you are confused by this YouTube user elguardiandelatierra, we all know this
video you provided is the blimp mistaken as a UFO from Salt Lake City in 2007 not from
Salta Argentina. Check the real one.

Seems to me the Aliens are tired of waiting for governments here to do something. This one may not have any good photos or video but it has all the indications of being worthy of paying some attention to.

The magnetic and electrical interference sure make it interesting.

Wish I could go down there and hang around for a while, however I am stuck in 2 feet of "global warming" in Ukraine.

No "good" photos or video? I would be happy to see some crappy photos or video of it. I mean the thing supposedly hung around, and put an air show on for the people, but nobody could get anything? Sorry, I just can't buy that.

Also if they are so tired of waiting for governments here to do something then why not sail those cigars right over London, New York, Washington etc... in mid day?

Hmmm if these are spaceship in the shape of zeppelins maybe there a hundred years old made in a style of mans machines of yesterday.

I have heard on one of the ATS threads that the aliens are making jumbo jet style ufo's now!

This just seems baffling that no one got a thing photograph-wise, but even moreso is the lack of news about this. This is just.. huge. A huge lighted craft at night, hovering over a power plant, causing all power as well as phones to go out, for something like 10 or 12 hours. Followed up by its return for a day flight, again, in front of possibly hundreds of witnesses, completing maneuvers which to those who saw it, would make them think it was nothing we could make.

This should be MASSIVE news. I am a bit floored it's not getting more attention.

Um... Maybe if it were a more credible story it would get a little coverage. The one person that we have heard from on here from near that area even says that with the exception of those in "related circles" this event was not noticed by anyone in his town.

Nonsense.. either it's a blatant lie, or it's utterly credible. You can't have dozens or even hundreds of witnesses and say it's not credible.

If the entire story is fiction, I wish someone with access or ties to others in that area could verify this. If it's not fiction, it's an amazing story that needs more legs.

What about the fisherman who said they saw it almost land? Why are we getting no follow-up stories? Either it's a massive hoax, or something amazing is going on. Just want clarification either way.

Although this doesn't have much breaking news, here is a better breakdown video of the sequence of events. There is a new "presumed photo of sighing" on this site, but I have no idea what that means. Why wouldn't know know if this was submitted as a photo from the incident? I've not seen it before though.
