Just started listening to Alex Jones

I like him.

I think he performs a valuable media service and reports on a huge amount of stories the mainstream media does not cover.

I like the fact he recognizes our government as nothing more than a fascist institution run by corporate lobbyists, something most media outlets ignore.

I like the fact he mentions the constitution regularly.

I also like his guest list. He frequently has on members of the UK parliament, US representatives, Austrian economists, and skeptical scientists.

The constitution does confer rights to black people.

It was the supreme court that ruled it did not.

Nowhere in the original constitution does it mention race, it only mentions people or persons.

You should try reading it sometime instead of getting your constitutional information from Air America.

In all seriousness though, I used to listen to Jones a few years ago via satellite radio on my way home from work. I almost bought his snake oil for a number of months, I'll admit he had me going for a while, but then I actually started looking into assertions he makes and realized that's all they are, assertions.

He asserts things to be true and twists sources to fit his original assertion. But if you were to read over where he gets this stuff from, without his initial commentary, you inevitably come to entirely differing, more benign, conclusions about what you just read. He really pushes the listener through a concocted, artificial narrative of his own design, of which no one else can see without holding hands with him.

A great deal of his information is just plain false, but people inevitably believe him because he says it with such a matter-of-fact tone.

I like Alex Jones for the most part. I check Infowars a lot for news information. I haven't listened to his radio show as much anymore. I realize he's not correct all the time but I don't believe anybody really is. I don't take what he says as gospel but it is a breath of fresh air when he tells it like it is.

His documentaries are excellent. They are the most powerful tool I know of to bring someone from the mainstream pool to the informed crowd.

I don't understand why so many people think the 20 Minutes with the President interview thing was any issue with credibility; it asked a lot of legitimate questions and was admittedly fictional.

I would rather listen to Alex Jones than Glen Beck. Yes, he rants and raves, and I turn the volume down when he does that, mostly because yelling annoys me. However, what he says makes sense, and that is more than I can say for MSM.

How many of you have read John P Haldron's "Ecoscience"? If you haven't, then I suggest you do. Today, Haldron is Obama's science Czar, and that should cause everyone to think.

The Bilderberg Group has been around for a very long time. I first heard about them decades ago, long before I ever heard about Alex Jones. We study history so that we can recognize it when it happens again. Those that don't recognize it, well, you get culled....
