You're better off telling your parents first before making an attempt to leave your parents. Just by seeing your situation, you're just like me when I was 14 years old when I first popped into this site. Gather up as much information as you can to educate yourself. Once you learn enough in a mature level, then you can feel free to move someplace else. Right now, you're just putting yourself at a dangerous position. Right now, don't think about conspiracy as the end of the world. Just enjoy your life as it is until you are very confident and sure about leaving once you reach the age of 18. You might have to wait even later once you do reach of age because you're going to spend most of your time preparing and stuff. =P

I'll bet this all sounds a bit glamorous and terrifying at the same time and you are probably getting itchy feet anyway. But even though you probably feel grown up, you will be so much further on in a years time. So I would say see how you feel then. As others have said, who knows if anything is going to happen anyway.
But you do raise an interesting point. Let's just speculate that some time in the next couple of years it will become obvious that something bad is going down - politically, astronomically, geographically etc etc. Let's say we are in the last 6 months of 2012 and it becomes clear to us that it's the last chance to get out of Dodge. But family and friends are refusing to budge.
Apart from saving your own skin, one could argue that it's your duty to try to survive to continue the species.
Or do you stay and tough it out with the ones you love, possibly going down with the ship together?

IMO what is important when it comes down to it is being with the people you love. Your young now and when young most can't wait to get away but they soon discovery that they depended on there family more then they ever knew and that they miss them

The best I can say is each person has to go by what there gut tells them to do, then you have to live with that decision whether good or bad.

I'm old now and I know how it is with the young in this time of history take time and really think how you want to make/live your life.

Remember the meek shall inherit the Earth.

Hey kid, You are spending way too much time reading nonsense on the internet. Predictions come and go and usually they never come true.
You are too young to be worrying about some conspiracy theory about the NWO taking over. Enjoy life, its too short to be paranoid and living in fear.

all i can say is that i personally would not leave my parents, or any other loved ones, "behind."

whether it was because of the reasons you give... or whether it was something along the lines of what churchianity believes, as fictionalized in the "Left Behind" book series...or anything in between....

NO i would NEVER leave my parents behind
and if i were you, i'd ask
"what would my parents do?'

Not going to be any different here in Australia dude and getting into Australia isn't that easy either. If things are going to happen, they are going to happen everywhere. Australia is pretty much just like anywhere else.
