Are you suggesting Canadian Soldiers will be the ones killing innocent Americans? If that is the case, I don't think you have to worry because such a thing would never occur. I think American citizens would question any situation where they have Canadian soldiers guarding their own streets instead of the much more larger and dominant American force.

Couple of things.

1. Is the European Union Times a real news site? Looks like a blog to me..

2. The other articles don't speak of the same language in the first..

3. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD THE US NEED CANADIAN TROOPS??? ... No offense to our Canadian brothers, but uh ... if the US military cannot handle US citizens running amok in the cities, what the hell makes us think Canadians can??

4. California is full of illegal immigrants and thus their life would go back to what it was pre-invading the US, and hyper Liberals who wouldn't know how to rebel to begin with .. I don't see California being a huge disaster.. they will go broke (again) .. whine about it.. get bailed out (again) carry on their socialist ways (of course) until they go broke and whine (again) ..

Unless..... we sell California to Canada!! .. no no .. I like the Canadians to much to do that to them..

We had the biggest riot in modern history, LA born Angelinos will eat people for breakfast. Our cops make NYPD look like ballet dancers and they disappeared if you recall 92. We buy a load of your stuff and supply a great load of components goods.
If LA harbor shut down the nation would feel it, I don't know why you hate an entire state, it is part of character of America for good or for bad. Our troops go shed blood just the same, our taxes hurt just as much, I guess thats how it is.

In either case, both organizations are only interested in solving military problems and disputes BETWEEN NATIONS.

Neither organization is the least bit interested in what happens within internally troubled countries such as Zimbabwe, Northern Ireland, or America.

Now if California were being invaded by (say) China, troops would be immediately rushed in to assist the US military.

But just because little Arnie screwed up his piggy bank, is of no concern at all to the United Nations, or the government of any other nation on the planet for that matter.

Americans seem to think millions of heavily armed UN troops are suddenly going to descend on America if law and order breaks down.

It just is not going to happen like that.

The California state budget is of absolutely no interest whatsoever to foreign governments anywhere.

You may very well see martial law declared, but there will be no heavily armed foreign armies..being shipped into California.

The Canadians have some sort of joint military training exercise planned for after Christmas, but that was planned quite a long time ago.

Oops, sorry guys if you all thought I believed this. I had tried to make it clear when I said I hadn't actually bought into what Russia was saying about attacking our own people. Sometimes, I don't take the time to re-read my words thru someone else's eyes.

I just wanted to post this because I found several of the links in the article to be of an interesting read. And I did point out that the Canadian forces were here for military training, as happens all the time. So, no, I didn't find anything unusual about that. I just saw where they had gotten their "ammo" for the story, so to speak. And it was truly interesting how they put all their "sources" together.
