Yes, whenever the military controls a country a lot of bad # usually happens.

Not a single poster has ventured to discuss the extent/percentage of such beatings in Iran as compared to other places. When such comparisons are made, the amount is also significant.

How in the name of the Flying Fewmet of Enlightenment could this be even remotely relevant? Are we playing some sort of game, where points are awarded for the number of protesters killed (or not killed)?

Should we have a weighting factor based on the number of protesters arrested?

And another to establish what percentage of the number of those present at the demonstration that figure represents?

And should we then divide that by a factor of the number of protests that take place, on average, in that country every year?

I mean, just to be fair and all.

This thread doesn't need tending and feeding, Skyfloating, certainly not by a moderator. What it needs is ignoring and leaving alone so that it dies as quickly as it deserves. As I have always said for anything news wise is to look at the source.

What do we have here ?

A Prison guard Iranian or otherwise beating someone to death.

I think that anyone who persues a career in prisons as a guard has a propensity towards violence or masochism. One essentially is given the authority to beat someone else up.

And get paid for it ! A Masochist's dream job in other words.

The situation obviously got out of hand and now they're paying for it.

Statistically we're going to have these types of people in all groups of people, Iranian and other wise.

On a lighter note, has anyone seen Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo....and the prison guards abuse of the prisoners forcing them to escape asap in lieu of performing fellatio on the prison guards ?!

All in all, the people who seek employment in prison aren't the nicest bunch and it certainly doesn't matter which country , it is just the nature of people in general, Iranian or otherwise.
