Why is Cannabis illegal?

first off matey this post is not about legalizing bud as discussion of such is against the terms and conditions set forth by ATS; the question is why is cannabis illegal. my post had to d with the thread if you read the OP he conjectures why he feels weed is illegal then prosing a question to other members of ats why they feel it is illegal, my reply was such a response.i repeat the topic of this thread is not pertaining your quote "I don't really see what your post has to do with legalizing bud.". the content of peoples posts should not reflect ways or means of "legalizing bud". you ask a question based on a statement i made; do you refute my statement or do you propose you have the authority to ask me to change what i state?if you know your history you will know that the white man is relatively new in creation and the ways and means that the white man goes about his interaction with what is manifested is entirely different in expression than the human who created man. i will not expound further on this as you need not attempt to have me derail this thread with the truth non expressed to you because history is different than your own."just as good" is not equal and the white man was not created to be equal to human but to be superior to the ideal human had for himself.for you to imply i "mean" something by all this; is stupidity on your own:a question was prosed and an answer given, that obviously you have issues with personally; as the answer was such.asking a question is not rude, but im sure you have a means of action based per execution: ill make it simple for you; per my statement of answer your prior reply was the execution,the folly of your attempt to derail my conjecture can no longer be acted upon persecution of your prior reply.

cannabis is "illegal" to people like yourself who are confused about their place in a conversation regarding questions asked and answers given.

again the topic is not "how to legalize bud"; and to take my answer and place it in the context of such is an attempt at ending the thread or derailing it.

No reason to get angry lol, I even said in my post I'm not trying to be rude I just dont understand what you mean.I don't have issues with your answer, I don't even understand what your answer is, thats all I was asking, for you to explain it better. If you are simply saying cannibis is illegal because of racism related stuff (along with prescription drug and paper companies...etc), then I agree with you.

And why do you refer to white people as "the white man" I mean I'm black and most my friends are too and we never refer to white people as "the white man". Do you lump all white people in the same category? I really don't get what you mean with this whole "white man" thing. Its not good to lump a whole group of people in one category, its like people saying "all blacks are criminals" or something like that.

This is a good example of what I'm talking about, what do you mean by these? My prior reply was the execution? What the heck does I have a means of action based per execution mean?

Once again not trying to be rude or offensive, I'm just confused.

I'm not attempting to derail the thread or anything, and I don't even neccasirly refute what you are saying, I just don't really understand what you saying, thats all.

And to address the thread topic I think pot is illegal because its simple to grow and even if they made it legal the gov wouldnt be able to tax it really cause people would just grow for themselves. I also think its illegal because its a threat to the pharm companies along with paper and cotton and fabric companies too... Basically other people in this thread have alreayd touched on all the main reasons its illegal. I live in Oakland, California though and its basically legal here though . I personally don't think pot will ever be fully legalized, but atleast its being accepted for medical purposes in more places, thats a good step I think considering it really does help people from what I've seen around where I live with med pot patients and stuff.

It really is just some huge conspiracy by greedy corporations to keep a completely natural plant that has been grown for centuries and centuries illegal. Its total BS in my opionon.

well to enter the kingdom you have to likened as a child is the saying; and some children express themselves, children all develop differently; you can call one way a child expresses himself as being racist, but im sure you cant see that childs heart if you place a greater expression beyond the original one for the sake of understanding; when the child just wanted to vent.but as children are; if one of my children has a toy and another child gets jealous of the ways he see his brother being happy with his toy: there are innumerable ways a jealous child could act.

You know.. that summary would have saved me a lot of typing. A star to you for your succinctness.

Cannabis is and remains illegal for a multitude of reasons. I personally believe there's a much deeper conspiracy than people would like to admit. People under the influence are forced to deal with their own demons and not everyone seems to like that. Some say that it causes paranoia but the paranoia is in the person himself, not the alter-stated of mind. Another HUGE reason why it's illegal is because it makes things too obvious. You've all heard of stoners making ridiculously obvious comments that just require commense sense. They do the same thing with deeply profound topics as well, even if they're in no state of mind to repeat the entire epiphany outloud. You couldn't have a bunch of people waking up and seeing the world for what it is, that'd be nightmarish for everyone, especially the government. For that reason, it will remain illegal until 2 weeks after I'm dead in which case I will cry from beyond the grave.

because its brilliant and a wonder drug, people become content with their life, govts dont want people to be content, they want us to want more, more and more.

lets not forget that the first celebrity spokesman for cannabis was a sufi (muslim).....that alone is enough for many europeans to despise it.
