Here's some Expanding Earth Theory.

( Sorry if this was already posted elsewhere, I didn't find it. )

I was taught, as was everyone else, that we are adrift on this Earth, floating on top of plates of solid rock, above hot molten magma. They also let us play with huge blobs of Mercury on the lab tables in Science class (back then)... Go figure.

We live on plates of solid rock crashing into each other making tremendous mountain ranges and rifting into deepening oceans...

Personal Note: Growing up in California we could easily visit San Andreas fault and even drive across the fault as I note within this picture.

Being careful, while driving across the fault, to slow down because, at least during the time period when I lived there, the western side of the bridge in the picture, bottomed out severely before climbing into the steep foothills.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/1c9cbdca4c0c.jpg[/atsimg]

Coming from the western side, down a steep grade; bottomed out even moreso. The pavement was always loaded with deep gouges into the asphalt from both directions, I can imagine many travellers had to replace car parts after a bad trip.

The road has likely been redesigned and repaired by now; Bad trips, however, still happen in the Bay Area, I'm sure of that.

Anyhow, I had seen a video (or still pictures) of some scientists from the 1930's or so. I wanted to include them here but oh well... can't find them.

The photos contained three or four Expanding Earth Models in front of the scientists.

Each successive Earth model was larger and land masses had moved significantly.

Each about 24"-36" in circumference, on pedestals, made from what looked like bronze.

Perhaps they are somewhere in these videos! I have such a crappy memory.

Oh, well. This all came about while I was cleaning some directories today and found these videos.

They immediately reminded me of the sense of astonishment that I had experienced when I first watched them.

These video's seem logical enough to make even Spock proud. \\//,

Am I wrong?

Can anyone refute/debunk these claims?

Will Science Text Books be rewritten corrected some day?

I hope that all you ATS'ers enjoy them as much as I have...

You're right, it was all totally posted as a thread a month or so ago. Never stop being amazed at the presentations, however. I wonder why this has no notoriety?

These were all done by Neal Adams who is not a geologist but an animator.

Maybe that is a good thing.

A couple of things that come to mind is this.

If the earth was smaller in size there was probably less water in the oceans and the continental shelves would have been exposes.

The various land masses don't fit together as well then.

I suppose they were closer together with seas separating them.

Don't get me wrong I truly believe this scenario by just using logic and observation.

A first grader can see the obvious.

The grand canyon being carved out by water is the biggest BS I have ever heard.

It is a rift valley. One is being created in Africa right now.

Thanks for re posting these videos I always enjoy them.

BTW Neal Adams is a really cool laid back guy.I have spoke with him before.

Absolutly amazing !!

I've got one question though. Where on earth did al our water come from in this theory ?

Greetz !!

Quite literally, one of the most fascinating threads I've seen in a while. Please watch the videos and star/flag if you agree. I wonder how well this theory plays with the hollow earth theory (which I'm am personally not yet convinced of)

However, this expanding earth theory does seem plausible. Can some other members chime in and give some explanations for the water as well?

I would guess that the atmosphere from 120+ Million years ago would have to be many times denser than it is today. Including the water vapor. Being subtropical hot, stickier humidity than you could possibly imagine.

As the Earth is shown expanding in the these videos, so the atmosphere would also have thinned substantially. Dinosaurs wouldn't be able to survive in our thin air. Nor would we have been able to breathe their ultra thik 'air' which was probably similar to water vapor saturated with different chemical make up from today.

Just sayin...

I believe that the bible supplies the answer to the question of where the water came from in this theory? It was the flood and the water came from within the earth.

Briefly stated as I'm in the middle of man chores for my wonderful wife ...

Yeah, If I recall correctly, God created the world void & without form = transliteration is non-solid/aka liquid void of land. I dunno if they had a periodic table of elements when Genesis was written. If they did then Moses neglected to be more specific then just "without form & void".

Also stated later as: God separated the firmament (land/ground/dirt) from the waters. Hmmm...

Just sayin...

I'll get there sometime... I've heard of the hollow earth theory ...

When I saw these videos I immediately considered these videos could be some kind of proof for that theory but honestly I don't know more about hollow earth theory than just the title of it.

Some of us need to take our time digesting these plausible & logical theories before the next step.

Everyone that I've shown these videos to has been blown away.

Yes, I think Expanding Earth theory is pretty much fact. It's so simple yet make so much more sense than Plate Tectonics.
Now, on Hollow Earth theory, I think it's more ludicrous and ridiculous but it always intrigues and makes me wonder just what if...?
