Here's a random thought. I've been wondering like many people what those spirals could be. I'm wondering if its a new method of communication,
possibly faster than light communication allowing us to attempt to contact other planets/galaxies in a much shorter, if not nearly instantaneous,
period of time.
My thought is this: When I consider all the possibilities of what it could be, I cant figure out why it would need to be tested at night, when
everyone can see, and where people will undoubtedly question what it is.
Unless of course we were trying to communicate with a particular star or galaxy, in which case what if the technology worked in such a way that it
worked best when pointed at the specific planet/star/galaxy we were trying to communicate with.
If this was true, the question arises of whether or not this technology was given to us so we could communicate with a specific race, or if it was
discovered and we are testing to see if it works.
Furthermore perhaps the communication was an emergency of some kind, and we didn't have the luxury of waiting until daytime when nobody would notice.
