Hi guys

Something I have notice in the past 12 months on television and radio. All the gold adverts, "WE WANT YOUR GOLD" "GOLD FOR CASH".

What is the deal with this. and just as a side note, In the UK we have 2 adverts on the TV all day long one is a man asking for your gold and the other a woman. Now ok this is going to sound stupid but look at both these people in the face. Do you see what I think I see, If the devil was a human like us, I'm sure he would look like this guy. and the women looks the same too.

Anyway back to the point of my thread. Ive heard people say that gold has an agent in it for healing, or is it all to do with the callapse of the doller?

I would just like to know what you guys think?

the price is WAY up, and sell while you can because eventually its gonna come crashing down.

they also need it for commercial reasons, ex. fireman helmets, astronaut lifelines, etc.

The two people you mention, do you have any links to the stations they are on?

Yeah, I noticed last year about all of the ads for the purchase of gold jewelry.

Did you notice on all of them, that they do not give a price for what they will pay? They could give you a $1/oz and still not be breaking any laws.

These ads remind of the scam pulled on New Yorkers a few years back.

Send me $10 dollars now, do not miss out, this will go on for only a short time.

They did not promise anything for the $10 and were able to get away with it.

As P T Barnum said, their is a sucker born every minute.

The BOTTOM of the Gold Market is not quite ready to fall out in my humble opine. But its not that far off, either. I think you have about a year run left. However, i wouldnt invest in it unless you ALREADY had some serious DOLLARS. This is one you needed to have caught much earlier.

As to the HEALING aspects of Gold: indeed. Truly all the MINERALS are healing. But they work best together (CLAY for example which houses a number of Earth minerals including SULFUR, COPPER, and so on) that come together for the good in a SYNERGISTIC effect.

Gold is also excellent in electronics.

Perhaps the elite is collecting back gold to use in their spaceships

After doomsday, local currency will be useless but there will still be use for gold... As long as people have enough food and shelter to live long enough to hold on all that gold.

Just make sure the gold you have is the gold that you can hold in your hand.

Those companies only give you about 25 cents on the dollar or less for your gold and many give you nothing for any gems in the jewelry.
You send them a once and they send you $300 or less and they keep $800

Plus they have experts that appraise the jewelry and pick out the rare and expensive jewelry for resale not melting.

This means they are making bookoo bucks and sending you as little as possible.

They are also getting a lot of stolen jewelry from the criminals out there.
they have caught burglars in LA Calif with envelopes already filled out and ready to stuff full and drop in the mail as soon as the steal it.

If the cops catch a burglar with a envelope fill they can not open it without a federal court order and to get that they have to prove to a federal judge that the burglar is hiding evidence in the envelope.

Never sell your gold to these places!! They give you pennies on the dollar for it. Take it to a coin shop or jewelry store. You get alot better deal for it. Now I see them advertising a gold selling convention at a hotel, take it to them and they will give you a check for it on the spot.
I still see gold gaining in 2010 as long as the fed keeps rates low and bailouts keep coming.

seems to me that they need all our gold back for more than the simple reason of money.

Personally I have taken George Greens advice and keep any gold I have just incase the poo hits the fan.

My mother weighed a chain she had and filled out the calculator on one of the sites and the would give her £18 for it. I advised her to keep all gold, silver and any other metal of some sort of value. I would also advise anyone to keep it and send it in to these rip off companies.

One conspiracy I rarely see discussed, even here at ATS, is the manufacture/synthesis of gold.

Gold was first synthesized in 1941 (that they admit to). Of course the process was way more expensive than the going price for mined gold but that was 70 years ago. Plus it was radioactive.

Are we to believe that corporations have not tried to develop a more cost effective method of synthesis? Look how much technology has developed in other fields since then.

And if you or your company developed a method of synthesizing non-radioactive gold for less than the current market rate, would you admit it?

Of course not.

I've been watching gold for quite a few years now and I'm happy to say I bought quite a bit when times were better for me and gold was in the $500 - $800 range. I've had to sell a bit this year but I've still got a couple dozen ounces worth, along with some silver and platinum.

What is confusing me is that I've noticed just as many commercials these days advertising where people can invest in gold. I know these cash-for-gold companies are a scam and I've never looked into one, even though I have some pieces that would be considered scrap. On the other hand, I figure these companies advertising gold for investment must think that the prices are going to go down, so they are looking to capitalize on the current high prices.

I have no faith in Federal Reserve Notes, and I still expect gold to go a little higher. But something about these "invest in gold now" places just doesn't seem quite right to me. Maybe I'm a bit too conspiracy minded, but I have a sneaking feeling that what they're selling isn't .999 purity.

A couple years ago I got involved in an online community called DXGold, my wife and sister handled all the transactions but all currency was based on gold.
It was a tough market two years ago. You had to have people buy you out of the shares that you had to actually get a cash out.
I don't know how legit the whole thing turned out to be, I worked for an investment company at the time that wanted to pay me in the DXGold format and taught me how to operate it. I didn't like it because I felt like it was money laundering. Pay out to someone to buy "gold" and hold it or sell it to other people for a service they offered to learn how to buy more at easier price.
Has anyone else seen DXGold? Any info on it would be great.
