since you have first hand information on this, if you look back at the data charts, do you see the same results this chart seems to portray? How far back do you store data?

Here is a chance to either prove or debunk this article with a trusted member of ATS. I am interested in the truth, not just what I believe is the truth. Thanks OZ.

1. Is the data presented by the OP correct?

The raw data is certainly correct, as it is the data we put into the system after manually reading the liquid in glass thermometers. These records are inputted into our data base and collected and stored by our climate section. The homogenized data, anad this is only in my opinion, appears to be grossly exagerated

2. Is there any reason to make significant upward adjustments to the raw data over time?

The only reason I can think of is the movement of the met office. I think originally Darwins screen temps were measured by unofficial observations staff at a post office. Later the met office was built and relocted to the airport, and then relocated 3km's down the road. The only reason I can think of, for the temperatures being higher, other than global warming is the heat island phenomena. The heat radiated off the tarmac at the airport is hot and dry enough to dry out low level mositure of incoming storms, meaning that a line of storms will approach the airport, break up at one end, and reform on the other side. I believe the rainfall is also another factor that is affected by this.

3. Is there anything incorrect about the data, analysis or conclusions in the OP?

Im not in the climate section, so its hard to say. Im also not really allowed to comment too much on this until the Bureau has conducted an investigation into the matter. In my own opinion, I seriously think that the data presented there isnt as accurate as it has tried to be made out. Through experience though, I noticed there has been a marked increase in the temperatures during the build up season (Sep-Nov), prior to the full wet season.

Any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

If I can think of anything else I will let you know. Some questions I cant answer as our emails were hacked there too, and Im not sure of the full extent as Im not high enough in the Bureau, lol. And also, again, its more the climate sections area rather than mine. However I will attempt to answer most questions
