Hi and welcome. I used to live in Colorado Springs. If you like rockhounding you can go to Devil's Head for Smoky Quartz and Topaz. You can also get dinosaur bone from Four Mile Creek. Take the first street north past Burger King as you drive into Canon City on 50. If you reach the park you have gone too far. Go back about 2 miles and hike on either side of the road. You can find spectacular St. Stevens Agate here too.
