Why isn't Colton Harris-Moore being reported on in America?

The only solid information I can find on this story is being covered over seas. I'm particularly interested because we have KOMO/KIRO7, etc. in Seattle which I have heard nothing about, according to UK sources this has been going on for a while.

Is this guy a spoof?

The story seems pretty cool.. but I recall last year when some guy evaded the police in the woods after firing a shot they had a full blown manhunt accommodated with a military apache helicopter, ultimately he ended up taking his own life when our forces found him hiding 100 feet up in a tree.

This should be NEWS around here, I'm confused. Someone explain this to me.

I guess you just haven't seen the stories, but I've seen a couple on CNN, and some in my local paper here in Canada. So it is being reported. Do you want hourly updates or something?
