Also those "streaks" are all "converging" at a point southeast of Las Vegas, almost between there and Kingston... Not in the north near Nellis Range and "Area 51" SEE HERE

ahh thats that is an actual radar but it looks like it was focusing in one direction then moved on to another giving it the sweep .When it looks in one direction other parts of the area will not and will give that triangular beam you are seeing.
also its location is in Las vagas radar has trouble reading the weather behind a mountains

I am not sure what you think it is here... These images come from weather satellites and do not pick up any type of aircraft or what have you like radar does....

It is nothing more than a weather system coming through... Take a look at this map from the weather channel that depicts the anomoly you noticed. It is color coordinated and shows what all it is made of.

It is merely some rain and snow heading that way. Which has been expected the past week or so around here. I know, because I am in the direct line of this weather system.

Sorry guys nothing here but weather being picked up by a weather satellites.

Nothing is coming other than some snow! I am getting ready to go build a snowman too! That is, if the snow lasts that long... It usually doesn't in Texas

Snow in Nevada? This is actually a doppler (Ground based) radar, not a satellite.

That definitely appears to be an error in the RAD array display. For one reason or another, the beam is displaying a focused pattern, not the typical scattered dispersion. Curiously enough, they all point to the Nevada Test Site (NTS).

If the NTS was running a test, it could have very well interfered with the RAD towers, or, the RAD towers could have been requested to direct their focus on the site in order to aide in a test.

I have honestly never seen a display such as this, despite my having witnessed various RAD anomalies over the years. I would like to hear OzWeatherman chime in on this.

Some times I'm ashamed to be part of this community. What you are seeing here is a front. It happens every winter, it's not freak at all. Not everything that you look at is a conspiracy

I wish I knew more about meteorology and could speculate as to what that is, but since I don't, the Jets and Bills are kicking off....

I think the cause for misunderstanding among some of the other posters in this thread was cause by your lack of specificity which is not commendable, but I do commend your search for truth and am intrigued by this.

s! My bad, I've got about a million things going on around here, and get a little distracted from time to time. I'll try and be a bit more clear next time. Thanks again for all the input everyone!

The website calls it an NWS Radar Mosaic. One would think they would label it as a satellite if it actually was one.

People are being misled, the title should be renamed SOUTHWEST..as people are thinking its the frontal system in the SOUTHEAST were all looking at, not the Anomalies over Nevada.

MG,

I am sorry that you are ashamed of being part of a community that asks questions out of curiosity in order to improve their own ignorance. Maybe you should move on to someplace where everyone knows everything that you do, like in front of a mirror, so we don't have to listen to snarky comments that discourage the conversation. If you can't be helpful, or at least civil, please follow the advise you gave here:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

to all of us idiots that aren't as intelligent as you, Mr. Wizard.

No, I first noticed something else over the southeast that was heading southwest, and then the stuff in Nevada was noticed. I still want to know if there was a meteor shower or not

That would unlikely be a meteor shower, as meteors are made up of grains of sand and burn up a hundred miles above the surface of the Earth. Atmospheric based weather only takes place in the lower 5 miles, so whats showing up on RADAR is either clouds, Ana-Prop or RADAR fault.
Ive seen Ana-Prop many times and this isnt it, and US RADAR is based over various ground stations rather than 1 continous station covering the entire states. The odds of all 5 Stations failing causing a anomalie is practically nil.
My only best guess would be some sort of Laser Experimentation device going on, Cloud Seeding? (but then i'd expect to see distribution within those bandings, and there too consistent for that.) Its still daytime I believe over in the US, so Laser experimention would go relatively unnoticed by many.

I mean there was something else, other than what was going on in Nevada, an almost straight line of some thing, all moving in the same direction towards Mexico from the direction of the Southern U.S. The shape looked like a streak you would see with a shooting star, and the total line on the radar imaging went from the South Eastern part of Alabama to the North Western part of Tennessee. They were observable all the way to Mexico, moving in the opposite direction of the rest of the weather, and THEN the stuff in Nevada popped up. Also, I can't find anything on any meteor showers for tonight, thanks for the info!

The triangular patterns? They look like the point of origin for a radar sweep. The "lines" wouldn't be lines but rather segments of a circular radar image. The small ends would be at the radar site.

Or do you mean the front itself?

Those cone shapes are nothing but inteference with the weather radar. Its nothing unusual, every weather radar inthe world gets that at one time or another. In fact our radar had the same issue the other day

To the OP, I dont understand what you were seeing, all I see is rain, which is what the radar is supposed to be doing

Just another thing about weather radar to, they will never pick up anything such as an aircraft. They are calibrated to only regsiter water vapour or small particulates. Low cloud, virga and small particulates from smoke or fog can also register.

So, its pretty much impossible for weather watch radar to pick up an aircraft, UFO etc
