Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- “I just wrote my first reference for a gun permit,” said a friend, who told me of swearing to the good character of a Goldman Sachs Group Inc. banker who applied to the local police for a permit to buy a pistol. The banker had told this friend of mine that senior Goldman people have loaded up on firearms and are now equipped to defend themselves if there is a populist uprising against the bank.

The thought of Goldman executives packing heat is disturbing to say the least especially in light of their proclamations that they are doing "God's work."
I believe its only a matter of time till we hear of a shooting on the news concerning this. I would think that the employees of Goldman Sachs are pretty well protected by security guards in the building.

I always thought the Second Amendment was our gun permit.

If it's New York state one must have a Concealed Carry permit
and they are DAMN HARD TO GET! In New York City Proper, there
is ANOTHER layer of bureacracy which makes it NEAR IMPOSSIBLE
for most residents to obtain any carry permit without knowing
someone on the "Inside" of city hall.

However, I do believe that a constitutional challenge is in the
works as the 2nd Amendment is applicable TO ALL AREAS within
the United States and its territories. On a technical basis there
might even be a challenge that would allow for the PERSONAL RIGHT
to carry on one's person NO MATTER WHERE within public or private
lands as one's own self and body IS CONSIDERED private property
and thus no exclusionary jurisdiction is to be extended or applied
to the carrying person.

Well I'm glad that bloomberg wrote this article, now if there is a populous uprising they will all know to bring rifles.

It's their right to own weapons so I commend them on that, now if we could only bring back dueling that would solve a bunch of problems.

It doesn't indicate a hopeful forecast for the economy if the Goldman Sachs banks feel a sudden need to institute this as a policy.

What do they have in store for America?

Creepy. I had a deja-moo feeling when I was reading this. Like it all happened before in the spring. Dunno.. could be imagining things.
