Hello everybody

I just wanted to let you all know that the danish government has recently adopted a new law to deal with activist and demonstrans.

This law is in direct violation with the danish constitution and also violates human rights.

Here is a summary:




About Bill

The purpose of the bill include to strengthen efforts to prevent and stop the widespread disruption of public peace and order, etc. The bill is aimed at those who are helping to escalate an acute situation in conjunction with major disturbances.

Eg. when they commit vandalism or doing physical blockades to try to prevent police from carrying out its work in the area where there is unrest. Against this background, the government proposes to raise the penalty for: - Violation of Penal Code § 119, paragraph. 3. 3. § 119, stk. § 119, paragraph. 3, in the way of including politiets arbejde. police work.
The proposal strengthens the penalty in first case to 40 days imprisonment by a usually fine today.
Tightening should apply when the offense was committed during or in the immediate aftermath of that area is a serious disturbance of peace and order in public places. The penalty shall increase by half compared to the punishment that would have been fixed by the previous rules.
The police are also able to detain persons for particular to avert the threat of up to 12 hours to 6 hours today.

So basically the police can detain people without having to charge them with anything illigal, just apon suspicion. here is a little sumup:

- police can arrest you without a reason
- police can detain you for upto 12 hours
- You can be fined or imprisoned for upto 40 days
- Police can record and label you for future archives


For the purpose they have made a "prison camp" that can hold upto 500 people:

Wow Climategate FEMA camps just in time for the summit. Who'da thunk it? Now it makes me wonder how many activists were planning on actually travelling there. The article says it is not intended "for out of towners" (thats how I understood it) but for the locals.

Are there that many people locally expected to show activism at this? Very interesting, thanks for the info!

Get used to laws like this being passed without any form of consultation. Within 10 years the EU will be similar to the USSR of the 1970's & 1980's

Its like a virus spreading across the globe. Soon the camels back will break and hopefully we will advance a little as a race instead of scurring about like a parasite of material possesions .
