Wow. This may be an amazing coincidence, but have you noticed that NO Tuskegee Airmen ever post grinding critiques of Obama. Hmmmmm. So amazing!

Thank you for your service, but I can go the rest of my life without your awful attitude. I expected better from you, not only as a forum moderator and a human being, but as a Marine. I realize other people said some infuriating things. You should rise above them.

Don't forget that many people are unable to serve for legitimate reasons, and that does not make us lesser than those who did, nor does it make us cowards.

You guys take the cake. You're harping over "Christan Nation" and missing the greater message. Seriously. The majority of the citizens are Christan so yes that would make the United States a Christan Nation. The majority of citizens in this country are Christan. The majority of citizens in this country are Christan. The majority of citizens in this country are Christan. Get over it if that hurts your little tiny egos so much. You are acting like babies with no manners.

I don't think so. I see someone who fought for freedom defending it's principles. No American President should ever bow to another countries leader. That is what the Revolution was fought for. I can see your far-left rhetoric in your other post. Obama lies his ass off as much as Bush did.

Why not ???
Any world leader should show respect for leaders of other nations.

If not you are basically saying we are America, we are the world. Honestly that level of arrogance is very dangerous.

Agreed!

Not to mention that was exactly this posture by the previous administration that has helped to put America where it is now and that made some many hate America.

A US president is just that, the president of the US. He is not above or below anyone and should at all costs respect other leaders and their respective traditions.

Besides that bow thing was great to show the true face of o crazy patriots (or should I say idiots) that believe that just because someone bows to another individual they are less. Respect has nothing to do with power.

It's time to loose the "I feel superior" thinking. In todays world everything is connected and everybody depends on each other. If that fails we are all going down.

Maybe because like so many of us that actually stood up and fought for our freedom, it is now that we see it slipping away..

Kind of hard to understand if you didn't bleed a little.

Not everybody bleed and suffer for the good cause. Most of the time they're just defending themselves and have no choice but to do so. Just because you have a little booboo, it doesn't make you a hero... or a lot wiser.

Jesus Christ (if you believe in him) bleed and suffer till his death without firing a single bullet. (Bullet didn't exist at that time actually). I consider that very courageous.

Let see the rest who also bleed, the chinese communist movement, the japanese imperial army, the german nazy army. Are these people like Christ?

Can you walk the path of christ, huh? A lot harder than you think, his path is the higher path, he doesn't take the cheap way out.

This just in BREAKING NEWS from WWII Veteran Chuck Finlay 97yrs old:

Mr. President,

I would like to applaud you son for trying to bring this country back from the brink. Those 8 horrid years of George W. Bush and your election have kept me going. I did not want to cash in the chips until I saw my country was in good hands. I know everyone expects you to work miracles overnight, but at 97 I know the meaning of patience and steady change. I can see that it is coming and we are getting back on track. Good work son, good work.

it's amazing that you DON'T see these posts about how un-american a president is when a republican president is in office. thank you for your service, but not your political bias.

Correct he is not above or BELOW anyone. We fought the revolution to break away from ROYALTY and establish that NO MAN is BELOW royalty.

The American President represents the PEOPLE.

When he bows to ROYALTY is show the subservience they fought so hard to break away from. The principals that ALL MEN ARE EQUAL. Not above or below.

IT HAS BEEN PROTOCOL since the nation was founded that when meeting foreign royalty and dignitaries that the president or any US citizen EVER BOW to royalty. We are not saying 'Hey, we are above you', we are simply saying "Hey, as one man to another man I am equal to you, no matter if you are the king of another country or not"

I simple handshake will suffice. Not bowing isn't showing disrespect or a superior attitude at all. Quite the contrary, it is showing the EQUALITY of EVERYONE.

You 'should show respect' tards just don't get it. Go study the history of your country before you try to give your uninformed opinion on this matter.

There you have it. When a 95 year old man of the "Greatest Generation" speaks out you know something is wrong.

Or, he's just another old, out of touch old person who relies on government run health care and listens to fox news, which means that he's been made afraid.

right wing media fear at it's best, frightening the elderly, they must be so proud.

"Shape up and start acting like an American.".. how about start acting like a human being and not a sociopath who thinks nothing of innocent people being needlessly slaughtered.. all because another sociopath lied.

I don't get why people feel it's so important to rally under a colored cloth on a stick or be proud of something they had nothing to do with.. where they were born.

Just because your parents boinked each other on a particular patch of Earths dirt doesn't make you any more special or unique than any other person on this planet.

..and I seriously doubt a so called "god" blesses people based on zip code.

Humanity would a-lot better off without such goofy emotional attachments and more practical less violent ideals.

bravo. much better written than anything i couldve done. summed up my emotions for my country. it sickens me that people want to destry this great nation and turn it into another monarchy and actually think socialism is good, when its been proven in history time and time again that it DOES NOT WORK!

You and your boy are squarely full of crap -

this nation depends on balance - it depends upon tradition AND progress

For it was the TRADITIONAL people who defended witch burning, inquisition, slavery among many outdated staples of tradition.

Freedom means free - not compulsory, forced, demanded

Police, Fire Department, Schools, Roads, sewage, mail system, libraries and many things you use everyday are socialistic you genius. In this regard you likely engage in hypocrisy everyday, clueless to your contradictory actions.

Clearly all you can keep your mind on is the fact that your parents "boinked" on American soil and truly shows how classless you are and was in very poor taste. You know that you don't have to talk like that in public and it's very immature and childish. No kidding your "parents boinked." I wouldn't have to remind you about BASIC MANNERS if they didn't. What's sad is that they didn't instill any pride or morals into you.

You casting off someone's pride for flag and country as a "goofy emotional attachments" shows how ignorant you truly are and you have a lot of growing up ahead of you. You know the pyramid of loyalty right?

Family and Your Religion
City
County
State
Country

Then maybe the world, but really depends on the situation. So, PLEASE shape up and start acting like an American.

I pity your soul. I want you to suspend your normal mode of thinking and use logic for a brief moment... THINK... yes, use that noggin of yours that God gave you to really think about what you just said.

TRADITIONAL people != (not equal) OUR AMAZING FOREFATHERS
I could say 'TRADITIONAL people' for anyone born... lets say 10 years after you were, and label TRADITIONAL people as anyone who lived before we did.

You can't lump everyone into a category and say they did this or that. and to lump in our GREAT AMERICAN FOREFATHERS with TRADITIONAL people and assuming they believed in anything that is old and sucks. LOL, LOL

thats like saying all white people like NASCAR.

please oh please, go read up on our amazing forefathers and how incredibly courageous, intelligent and wise they really were. they were WEALTHY, had great lives/families and PUT IT ALL ON THE LINE FOR THE GREATER GOOD TO ESTABLISH THE FIRST BASTION IN THE WORLD of freedom for all. Before America, there was only rule by monarchs and despots and if you were poor, which as today, as back then is most of the population, your weren't worth anything and had NO RIGHTS.

These forefathers risked it all, and they had A LOT to risk, in order to establish a new order in the world, where the common man meant something. where the common man had rights and was respected as a human.

people just don't get it. yes, slavery sucks, but that institution was established many generations before our forefathers were even born. give them a break. they couldn't solve all the world's problems at once. and we know what happened to slavery... eventually another great forefather came along and abolished it!

if you did one ounce of research into how great these men were you would change your tune. but frankly Janky... i doubt you have the intellectual capacity to see beyond your sophomoric thoughts expressed in your post.

i guess you are right. i guess America being the first nation on earth to officially state that "All men are created equal" and then write laws to support that idea isn't anything special. the first country to respect, give rights and educate the common man = the most powerful, greatest nation on earth a short 2 centuries after its creation. hmmm... most countries are much older but much weaker. hmmmm. giving the common man an ounce of power and respect made our country zoom the top, while all the others toiled. their leaders feared giving up ANY power to the common man, look where that got them.

this great experiment was a smashing success and a beacon of a new world order where all are considered equal. why masses and masses of people want to come and live where?!?!? oh, right, the good ole USA. wonder why.

it just sux that we are reverting back to what our forefathers fought to get away from. an overbearing gov't, not for the people but for the few at the top. a few at the top that are a bunch of rich bankers and elite. now that our principals have been turned upside down we are declining fast. for we are mimicking the crap we were suppose to be against.

supposedly we needed to 'stimulate the economy' and save those institutions that were 'too big to fail' lol. well most of the money went to FOREIGN BANKS and was never used to stimulate ANYTHING the people voted against it but our representatives voted for it. EVERYONE OF THEM should be voted out of office. its nothing short of treason to take our tax dollars and simply give them away to the same corrupt banksters that got us into this mess!!!! I am watching my country die in front of me and it is sad

IF THEY REALLY WANTED TO STIMULATE THE ECONOMY THEY COULD HAVE TAKEN 10% OF THE STIMULUS MONEY AND GAVE EVERY AMERICAN OVER 18 y/o 100,000 DOLLARS!!!!! (sorry poster, you don't qualify, see below :lol
OR GIVEN US ALL A TAX FREE HOLIDAY FOR 6 MONTHS!!!! OUR ECONOMY WOULD HAVE BOOMED!!!!

speaking of great forefathers, Thomas Jefferson warned against letting private bankers print the money. And now you see the reason why right in front of your eyes. Don't tell me our forefathers weren't the wisest men ever to set foot on this earth.

Ok so I went off on a rant. But yes, I rally around my red white and blue, because of the great principals it stands for. I"m guessing you've never traveled the world and seen what it is like in other countries. When you get back home you realize how special this place is.

I'm guessing you are about 13 years old from that response.

God the amount of sensationalized bs on this site sometimes is amazing, grovel? really? He's a tall man, bowing to a much shorter asian man, would have looked the same as an NBA player bowning to japanese basketball players in teh Olympics, th ey dont' do it often OR AT ALL and when it does, it looks awkward. Live in the real world dude

Umm, there most definitely a etiquette to bowing in Japan. Most cultural classes I've been to, caution us not to attempt to figure it out. Obama's bow was not one of politeness or respect, his bow was that of subserviance.
