A must see pdf file of copies of notice of Intent to Sue dated Novemeber 24, 2009 to NASA Goddard Space Center re: Temeprature Correction Record, and their previous FIOA requests, and the new Climategate scandal.

The request focuses on a blog posting that linked directly to NASA made by Hansen. The link is provided in the pdf file.

The notice of intent is dated November 24, and intent to file is December 22, 2009 if NASA does not comply with the FIOA requests made by Competitve Enterprise Institute.

Here is a link to a story that has to deal with CEI which sounds similar to what you are mentioning in the OP.

Here is the linky

Well see how deep this actually goes.

The link was very informative. Especially the comments made at the bottom. I guess the REAL question is if anything will be done about it or if the agenda will be completed without anyone's consent.

Sorry for the delay in my response, have to work for a living and it cramps my style.

Anyway, it looks like things have certainly heated up the past few days since I started the thread, so I will be making the popcorn and sitting back to watch this one.

Could be fun!

Is all of this "climate gate" exposure too little too late?

It's great to see that those of us who have been crying fraud for so long are getting some legitimizing evidence, and I hope that the perpetrators of the fraud are brought to justice in front of the whole world.

The problem, is that Obama is going to sign the damn climate bill in 10 days. There is not enough time to stop it.

Once again We The People are going to be forced to accept new and imposing restrictions based on lies. Lies that are already in the process of being exposed and which will be confirmed soon after the pen hits the paper,
when it's too late.

I'm suprised you haven't had anyone posting here saying "CEI is paid by big oil" yet, and then use that as justification to dismiss anything they put out.

I'm not sure as to the extent of funding by Exxon or whoever else, but I've heard it mentioned. One thing that is interesting to me though, is that anyone who says the above, seems completely oblivious to the fact that many other organisations supporting AGW are funded by people with vested interests themselves. As if 'green' industries and environmentalists are excempt from corruption, because they're "saving the planet".

It will be interesting to follow these proceedings, and see what comes of it.

I agree with you and that is why I had one of the fundamental questions that I did when this all came out. Why now?

I wondered if this was meant to derail Copenhagen, just based on the timing. If that was the originators intent, they certainly missed the media manipulation in the US, among other places.

Too little, too late, because the media will only have to continue it's blackout and oversimplifying of the matter long enough to get to Copenhagen.

But then, if it had come out months ago, would it have been any better? Considering the state of the media today, it could have well been glossed over in time for Copenhagen anyway. The only way we will know is to see what comes of this in the following weeks and months.

Hind sight is 20/20 and all of that, but I do wish it had come a bit sooner.

I also do wish that the media blinders would come off, but the total manipulation has been proven to be effective now.

Kind of killed two birds with one stone.

The whole thing as I see it is, after the market crash happened, people were looking for someplace to invest, and with the "green" push, I think a lot of people invested in that direction. It is a multi-million dollar business, (maybe even multi-billion at this point) and only promises to become much more after Copenhagen.

I really did expect some stock market repercussions from this, but since the media is playing it down so far that hasn't happened in a big way, yet.

Not sure now if it will, either.

Seems this has gotten too big to fail, as someone else had put it. They aren't going to roll on this just because of the evidence that has been brought out.

The mdeia that is paying attention to this now will play itself out, and any forthcoming news will be played down in favor of the Healthcare bill and troops to Afghanistan.

I have hopes of this staying in the media, and the congressional investigation, but I won't hold my c02 over it.

SUE this lying S.O.B.

If there is one scientist more responsible than any other for the alarm over global warming it is Dr Hansen, who set the whole scare in train back in 1988 with his testimony to a US Senate committee chaired by Al Gore. Again and again, Dr Hansen has been to the fore in making extreme claims over the dangers of climate change.

In addition, as the Telegraph article goes on to say, this is not the first time Hansen has been caught fixing the climate data! As Christopher Horner reported last September that the very same Anthony Watts caught NASA fixing the data by placing thermometers “… in Arizona parking lots, overhanging black asphalt pads, near cell towers and hot-air blowing air conditioner exhausts or next to trash burn barrels, … setting one just away from a chimney directly above a Weber barbecue grill …”

Horner goes on to explain:

This embarrassment came amid NASA also having to correct its data since the year 2000, which has been used to support many of the global warming alarmists’ “money claims”, such as Al Gore’s line that 9 of the 10 hottest years on record occurred in the past decade.

Well, no. We now know that this is false and that NASA has corrected the record to reflect that the warmest year in the U.S. was 1934, 4 of the 10 warmest here occurred in the 1930s, 3 during the 1990s, and one each in the 1920s, 1950s and this decade. That this claim has now been debunked, like most every other statement of substance in Mr. Gore’s movie.

I've seen you post this (and only this) on a few threads, and I'm not sure what your point is. I don't believe in catastrophic AGW, but that doesn't mean I don't care for the environment. I try and walk to work when I can, and have chosen to purchase a vehicle for it's lower fuel mileage over others. Not a micro or smart or any thing to0 extreme though, as I'd still prefer to fit the surfboards in there

I wouldn't want an excuse to drive a Hummer any way, as IMO, they're stupid and irresponsible as a road car. If you lived in a battle zone and your life depended on it, go for it. But in reality, who needs them any way? Or for that matter, who needs private jets and massive estates with palatial gardens and energy usages 2600% more than the average household (hint: he's buddies with hansen and won some kind of peace prize which apparantly used to be respected and of some significance.)?
