Waste-To-Oil Company Selling Oil Commercially

CARTHAGE, Mo., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Renewable Environmental Solutions LLC (RES) today announced that its first commercial plant is selling an equivalent of crude oil No. 4, produced from agricultural waste products. The Carthage, Missouri, plant is currently producing 100-200 barrels of oil per day utilizing by-products from an adjacent turkey processing facility.

100-200 barrels of No. 4 oil a day, and has the capacity to produce up to 500 barrels per day, is it a start to get away from the OPEC ?

Thats like 0.001% of the USA's oil consumption !

well yeah i know, i think USA uses about 10.9 million barrels a day. would mean 20,799 such facilities, what would be a bis investment.

Dont knock it just because the output seems puny - this can be used not only to reduce the dependence on foreign oil it is also useful in creating a decentralized energy infrastructure.

Imagine many municipalities would be interested in such a plant to turn waste into new resources rather than a drain. The process isnt just for turkey guts, it can convert plastic scrap, old tires, and other such refuse into oil as well...

Buring Oil...ANY Oil is damaging to the environment and we need to move away from it as soon as possible. This type of oil even though it comes from a renewable source still spews Carbon Dioxide and Ozone into the atmosphere. Just as it seems Green technology takes a step forward it gets shoved two steps back
