Pretty sure he just used block and tackle instead of magic levitation to construct the coral castle.

i seriously doubt that he did it all by himself, its hard to understand everything about this but i think there's much more there than most think of it do some research on the subject its pretty interesting. I watched a vid not to long ago about it i'll try to hunt it down it was a good one telling his life story.
