I don't often post in this forum, but I just ran across this video that I have not seen on the board yet.

There seem to be more of these on an almost daily basis.

Listen to the excitement of all of these people.

I've seen footage of plasma related phenomena that look similar. I know that the "ball lightning" explanation elicits eye rolls from the community of UFO believers, but I don't think it should be so easily dismissed. We know so little about it, and it manifests in the most bizarre ways... at times seeming to be intelligently controlled.

Are certain weather conditions required for ball lightening?

I'm not sure the ideal conditions are known. I did see a video of lab produced plasma balls.

.

Certainly there are meteorological and geological [triboluminescence] conditions that have been associated with the phenomenon.

You know i get goosbump's when i whatch this video.

This is the only video ever to give me goosebump's.

The only other time's are when i have personally seen UFO's myself.

This is very special in my opinion.

Take care.

Lee

A ball lighting is never stationary.
And to the best of my knowledge they come alone.

(I have seen one decades ago travelling across wet train rails during heavy rain.)

They hover, move, wink... and I have seen video of multiple appearances.

Too little is known to use the word "never".

Let me hunt some down. I sent a cool one to a friend that had an encounter with a plasma ball at ankle level mere feet away from her and I thought she would be interested.

I noticed none of the ball lightening examples "flash" as in the UFO video. Can ball lightening flash?

This video clearly shows something unknown to the public. Good post OP!
Ive seen something like this in the 90's but it displayed much faster speeds from left to right.

www.ernmphotography.com... rnM.html

At that distance to the eye I observed it as a small sphere of light with an unstable rapid flashing yellow / orange / red colour. To the eye the colors seemed to pulse and flash all over the ball like flame however the photo shows a bright core only, due to overlapping color and light. It also appeared to be glittering or flashing with sparks or lightning.

Sweet video. Where was this?? If I were to guess it would be a suburb of Phoenix based on all the open minded UFO watchers.

Thanks for that.

I'm inclined to believe this as the most plausible explanation.

I don't know whether it is or is not, but it should be considered as one possible explanation. There do seem to be an awful lot of UFO reports that describe luminous orbs with similar characteristics.

Ball lightning could be the answer -> some of the odd weather phenomenon here I don't remember seeing growing up.

Examples:
Ball lightning
Totally green skies before light rain (used to only see the green around tornados)
Light stripes of yellow in peoples grass near the end of the summer - first year ever saw it all over my area

Is this artificially enhanced weather phenomenon?

In Dallas about 3 years ago, we started seeing really bright, almost stationary lights in the sky. The lights looked like stars, yet the sky would be completely overcast otherwise and the locations didn't match the stars/planets we'd seen in the past.
