Nope, changes nothing. It does show however that you will make statements out of thin air that have no proof what so ever behind them.

Oh how naive and wrong you are.

The court validated our concern that there is illegal and unregulated Internet gambling in Kentucky. He has given these parties 30 days to effectively block any access to this illegal activity within the commonwealth of Kentucky or they may be forced to forfeit those domain names to the commonwealth.”

Judge Wingate’s ruling states that if internet gambling sites take action to block users in Kentucky from accessing the site using geo-targeting technologies, then they “shall be relieved from the effects of the Seizure Order and from any further proceedings in the instant civil forfeiture action.”

Seeing as it's now gone 3am here I'm sure you can type those magic keywords into google and see what comes up... if you're lucky.

The people who want to make comparisons between the current state of censorship here and in China are way off base. The situation here does not resemble that in China.

No it doesn't... yet. That's the whole point, people aren't even aware of the censorship techniques employed in the good 'ol USofA - ironic, no?

I love the internet...

Get to play games and talk with people from literally ALL OVER the world.

Most people have never even heard foreign accents...well, I am pretty much accustom to it

ok, so I went to the links you provided and this is what I found.

1 - Only one of those articles listed any domains that were supposedly blocked, and that was one regarding the KY gambling thing. Upon inspection I found that I was able to access all of the sites that were listed.. BOO #1

2 - The article about David Rohde's capture was about the NY Times and Wiki's attempt at censoring it, not the Government...BOO #2

3 - As Far as your Wiki article about Google censorship, well I went to Google, typed in "Nude Teens" and got about 1,600,000 hit with 1 being removed for violation of Child Porn laws... If you consider that censorship I will take it.. BOO #3

4 - Your World Socialist Web Site link lists no evidence to back its claims that site had been shut down... BOO #4

5 - In your link with the map, the US is only listed as selectively censoring sites in the social category because of its limited ability to block child porn sites and the like. once again, if you consider blocking cp sites censorship then that is your problem... BOO #5

6 - The Wikileaks thing was a CA court thing, not our gov. and as you stated yourself it is back up... BOO #6

7 - Your last link is a flowchart that has something to do with the UK censoring Scorpions album covers.. US isn't even mentioned... BOO #7

Well, it seems that you get a great big

BOO

and a
to boot... Keep trying though, you may come up with something useful.

Love that just because it's not filtered for you it doesn't mean it isn't for somebody else, which was the point of the very last one - it's a flowchart which shows the similar technology employed in blocking poker sites to people of a certain demographic.
Even better, any laws/court orders (whether pushed from a private company or government - same thing?) have to be approved by the state, making it unconstitutional.

Aside from that all you've done is cry and weep like a little child who've been proven wrong yet dig their feet in even further in a futile attempt to regain any sense of control. Funny stuff.

For those that think Obama was correct in chastising China, I ask you to view this Youtube, in which Obama criticizes Bush and America for being so arrogant. This is the pot calling the kettle black (no pun intended regarding Obama's race):

This is the ULTIMATE arrogance- telling China what it should do regarding the Internet. He's nothing but a hypocrite.

Um, no. I don't think that I have been doing much crying at all. In fact I have been laughing quite heartily at your attempt to show that the U.S. as a country, is censoring the internet.

The fact that it is not filtered for me is proof that the US gov. is not censoring it. Now, may there be some local areas, and groups in the US trying to censor parts of the internet... Absolutely, and if that was your claim I would have had no arguments, but your stance is that the United States as a country is censoring the internet, and that is just plain ...
