Obama should understand Chinese rule in Tibet 'because he is black'

www.telegraph.co.uk

A Chinese official bizarrely claimed that Barack Obama should understand China's opposition to Tibetan independence because he is a black president who understands Abraham Lincoln's role in emancipating African Americans.

Just came across this, done a search and couldn't find anything about it. All I can say really is wtf!?

Stephanie Brigden, the director of Free Tibet, said: "It is an insult for the unelected and authoritarian Chinese government to suggest that an instinctive democrat such as Abraham Lincoln would have sided with China in seeking to deny the Tibetan people their fundamental right to determine their own future.

"By trying to be clever, and attempting to liken its occupation of Tibet with Lincoln's fight to abolish slavery while preserving the Union, China has merely underlined its inability to recognise what true freedom looks like."

Occasionally, even diplomats and government officials, dare to speak without thinking.

The Chinese representative was trying - feebly - to give the impression that China is 'liberating" Tibet....

(Like many good communist adherents, faith is considered a yoke; theorizing the faithful are 'slaves')

Sound familiar?

Fortunately only the least-informed could believe that.

Wow...grandiose.

I wonder if they know he is not black?

Someone should inform them.

Maybe if China spent less time oppressing the masses and more time reading about why oppressing the masses is bad, they'd understand what an asinine statement they just made.

Imagine if we "all" understood the asinine comments we have made?

I think we would all die from humiliation.

Quite possibly.

Was this a translation of a quote from this person?

I ask only because the media tend to not really translate things too well and will substitute some words for others which would have more "flare".

Other than that, this person suffers from foot in mouth disease and has made China look like a fool when it comes to it's policies on Tibet among other things such as their blatant violation of human rights over the years.
