The church denies funeral costs to dying son of priest until mom goes public.

His mother, Pat Bond, has been taking care of him full time. But when she needed help, she reached out to the Roman Catholic Church.

After all, his father is a priest.

While human spirituality and its nurturing are important aspects of a full life, this is just another example of organized religion destroying its own relevancy by floundering in dogma.

...and it simply drives its adherents somewhere else. Pity.

Does the company you work for take care of your illigitimate children? Why don't his father provide for him?

Vow of poverty probably makes child support a little iffy.

My employer (being me) does support my children.

Gotta wonder about the churches selective blindness to some vows and not others.

Vow of Poverty must be prosperous because every Priest I have ever seen does quite well. They all got big fat Caddies bought an paid for with their own cash.

Truth is they should have just fired the Priest once he knocker her up and not given any of them any money.
