Interactive Global Flood Maps

These maps where programmed to overlay the flooded areas with blue. If you believe in Global Warming or not, this is still fun to experiment with.

You must be really close to the ocean then.

Well I wouldn't want to live on any coast under that scenario. I'm a state up from Louisiana ao I'm high and dry.

Looking at the map, I wonder why people assume Denver would be the safest place. It seems like the flood waters don't really come that far inland.

Cool tool though.

if it's more than 4m, i don't need to water my lawn anymore...comforting...time to get one of those rubber life boats, the ones that you can seal over the top.

this map is really interesting BUT what if the sea level raise higher?
What if it raises at 50 m or even 150m?

Nowhere in the www you find a map for this and then you´re smacked!

I was hoping for the same thing, one that rises the waters more.

No wonder my insurance is so high!

A 2m rise and we're beachfront, 3m rise a disaster area!

That's cheered me up no end.

No, if the sea levels rise by 14+m then Canterbury becomes a coastal town

how is that going to happen !

It will most likely happen slowly, yearly. It won't happen fast.
