How about practice what you preach? Use your own personal finances to aid othersl. However, do not expect others who do not fall under your line of thinking to follow your suit.

Not only do I donate to a homeless shelter, but I also spend a considerable amount of time volunteering and helping send out letters which bring in a substantial amount of money for the shelter.

Would that be the unconstitutional IRS you are referring to?

en.wikipedia.org...

You are a hypocrit, do not put words into my mouth. I actually endorse the fairtax. I am not against paying taxes, so long as the system is fair, and far more pro buisness. I also do not want the government meddling in my personal finances. I want to have the final say.

Try taking it up with the CONSTITUTIONAL IRS

You lost me...

The FAA?

So, you would deny me the right to take a crap, but would gladly shell out the extra dough for someone who doesnt work, and lives off the government?

If you don't pay taxes and you aren't looking for work, why should you expect the right to municipal services?

Ask yourself this, why do people from all around the world, prefer to come to the US instead of France and Denmark? Surely if those places were so great, people would be flocking to get in?

Contrary to your belief, people do move to western Europe. It's a little hard for the Mexicans to get there however.

I think the famous heat wave France experienced in 2003, where 15,000 died from a mere heat wave, indicated how fragile their governmental run systems are.

A lot of people die from lack of care over here too you know.

There are loopholes, and the system can, and is being abused.

By the mentally ill and physically disabled? Yes there is a small minority abusing the system so let's stereotype everyone on social security as a parasitic bum.

What kind of policies would you persue to ensure stable job growth? How would you successfully keep jobs from oursourcing to successful capitalist nations?

Infrastructure and lowering small business taxes. Make it illegal for multinationals to take jobs oversees. What would you do?

Give them credit, they have lifted over 300 million people out of poverty in a rather short period of time. Or would you prefer that 300 million of their people still lay in poverty?

Credit given. I am still waiting for that concerted effort to help the rest.

They do pay taxes, however, they do not have the embeded costs of complying to a complicated tax code like ours. Often times, American goods are taxed twice, which makes the end product more expensive and less competitive in the global market.

Goods are taxed not corporate profits.

Why? Its your opinion. Anyone can move up in a free market driven by pure capitalism.

So your ok with exploiting the working class?

The soviet union? Nazi Germany? North Korea? How about China? Was it working for China before they embraced capitalism? How about this, you show me where pure socialism has worked past and present...

Why use the obvious failures in half assed socialism? Are you afraid to touch on western europe? Many countries with more socialist policies than us are seeing consistent growth.

I will let the endless speculative rants continue... Here is the problem I see with the argument you are presenting. You post a tribute thread to the possible future demise of capitalism, and in its place, socialism springs forward, and then make the rest of this thread about your ideal world of how you think things should be ran... I can see now that this thread is a waste of my time. You sir, should be ashamed!

And yet you contribute to the discussion. I posted the article, a debate was started I participated in it and so did you. Nobody is forcing you to participate. Seems like you are wasting your own time. The shame is on you sir.

And now I'm willing to wager that since your selfish excuse for an argument has crumbled, and your defense mechanism of the thread being a waste of time has sprung up, you will refuse to respond further.

Good for you! Now mind your own buisness and stay the f*ck out of my finances!

en.wikipedia.org...

The 16th amendmant to the US constitution never came close to being ratified. And there is no law that requires citizens to file and pay federal income taxes.

Interestingly enough, even if the 16th amendmant had been ratified, it says there are only 3 ways you can be taxed. Import tax, export tax, and excise taxes. The ONLY people who can be taxed by income tax are federal employees.

Try taking it up with the CONSTITUTIONAL IRS

Ive clearly shown this not to be the case.

Wikipedia might be enough anecdotal evidence for you...However, it is clearly bluring facts with reality.

If you don't pay taxes and you aren't looking for work, why should you expect the right to municipal services?

I was just pointing out the contradiction in your flawed beyond f*ck argument.

Contrary to your belief, people do move to western Europe. It's a little hard for the Mexicans to get there however.

I find polls to be quite interesting, they dont necissarily tell the whole story, however, we can develop a good understanding from them. And according to a recent gallop poll, which surveyed 700 million people from around the world, the US is the most sought after nation to move to, and live in. Not western europe!

United States Tops Desired Destination Countries

The United States is the top desired destination country for the 700 million adults who would like to relocate permanently to another country. Nearly one-quarter (24%) of these respondents, which translates to more than 165 million adults worldwide, name the United States as their desired future residence. With an additional estimated 45 million saying they would like to move to Canada, Northern America is one of the two most desired regions.

www.gallup.com...

A lot of people die from lack of care over here too you know.

And two wrongs dont make a right, right? I mean we are talking about a HEAT WAVE!!! They do possess certain types of technology to combat that type of issue.

Infrastructure and lowering small business taxes.

But then how would you pay for your socialist agenda? 70-80 % of the US economy is based on internal commerce, a huge portion of our economy is based on small buisnesses. You would not have enough funds for a socialisnt takeover, as socialism itself is based on bigger government growing at an ever increasing size. What happens when government grows faster than the GDP? I dont think you have quite thought this through.

And on a second note, thank god you are not incharge of our nation!

Make it illegal for multinationals to take jobs oversees.

And where in the past could you point to where this actually worked in creating stable robust job growth? And do not say western europe...

What would you do?

I made a thread some time ago that explains what I think would supercharge the US economy.
www.abovetopsecret.com...

I happen to agree with 79 economists who think a fairtax is ideal for America.

I would reduce the corporate tax rate to 0%, instead of having the current highest corporate tax rate in the world (which is a big reason why we outsource so many jobs).

I would eleminate all federal payroll withholding taxes (which is unconstitutional). And replace it with a 23% revenue neutral consumption tax. This would give the people their own money, meaning individuals would keep 100% of their paycheck. The fairtax also would effectivly make government spending more transparent by putting government on a budget while simultaneously kicking the government out of my personal finances.

Credit given. I am still waiting for that concerted effort to help the rest.

They did that with capitalism, not socialism.

So your ok with exploiting the working class?

Im ok with the working class moving up in positions theyve never had.

Why use the obvious failures in half assed socialism? Are you afraid to touch on western europe? Many countries with more socialist policies than us are seeing consistent growth.

Actually, if we compare the EU 27 to the US, the EU outsources more than the entire US.

It is because of capitalism, that these nations are able to grow at all. They do however suffer from slow protracted growth rates.

As I said before, theyre not exactly an economic trend setter.

And now I'm willing to wager that since your selfish excuse for an argument has crumbled, and your defense mechanism of the thread being a waste of time has sprung up, you will refuse to respond further.

It was your utter overall level of ignorance that made me respond.

The best sheild against logic, is ignorance.

Good luck with that.
