Hmm still only a 5% chance of an M class flare in the next 48 hours.

Good to see some action again.


It's funny, I just read back through this thread and a lot of people were thinking that the SOHO site was down because they wanted that the sun was producing class C flares and here we are, possible Class M and all's well at SOHO.

I have been watching alot of SOHO video lately after the filiment that was hanging off the sun appeared a week or so ago, and today I was randomly watching LASCO images from the 26th of Feb. to today the 2nd of Mar. and noticed a large amount of activity from the 28th too today. But also on 2010/03/02 15:42 there is a much larger streaking image in the top right corner of the image would that be an asteroid or a comet or just space junk new to this but looks much larger than the rest of the images streaking in the sky. Don't know how too post an image yet otherwise I would.
