What is with the Earthquakes?

HINDU KUSH REGION, AFGHANISTAN 6.2

With all of these earthquakes, is something big going to happen?

When you say "All these earthquakes" - there does not appear to be a sustained period of unusually high earthquake activity in my opinion. (I like to look at the USGS site quite a bit)

Plus - as far as people living near the epicenter are concerned - something big has just happened: a 6.2 earthquake.

Something that DOES appear unusual, is the recent lack of seismic activity on the western coast of South America (thank goodness).. but then the longer things sit, the worse they get in the long run so maybe it's better things move around just a fraction.. things have been pretty quiet there for a while now
