I don't know much about the seismicity of Afghanistan but this seems unusual.

The South Pacific quakes have continued over the last couple of weeks, numbering into the hundreds.

There have been a lot of pacific US quakes and small New Madrid quakes but this is the first large one I've seen in Asia in a while.

I don't know what a huge bomb would look like on a seismograph (anybody?) and I'm not suggesting that, but this is after all a conspiracy board.

It says 122 Km depth!

It also is only 70 miles from Pakistan!

Extremely likely this is just another quake thats part of the formation of the Himalayan chain, the depth of the quake is indicative of this process anyway. 6.1 is slightly minor but nothing catastrophic, and at that depth i'd be surprised if anything than the odd shoddy barn roof has collapsed.

When I looked at the map it looks like it's not far from a fault.

they have had a many large earthquakes here and pakistan over the years. google Afghanistan Earthquakes.

I wouldnt think its anything unusual.

the north korean nuclear underground test a few months ago caused a small 4. something quake.

This region is pretty prone to quakes actually but good looking out anyway

If it was a nuke test it would be shallower in depth though like the NK tests were.

Is this recent round of 6+ earthquakes unusual or does it just seem like a lot because so many people are expecting the end of the world?

Again its not out of the norm so nothing to freak out about. They get big quakes in that region pretty frequently.

I personally think the west coast is more worth watching right now as I have a feeling its just not done escalating over the short term.

NO! The US is NOT testing a new bunker buster bomb.

Possibly as many as seven mag 8.1 to 8.3 earthquakes are overdue along the Himalayas...

Do you people read the NASA discovers a Band off energy in out skirts of the solar system ??

Any ways, Im listening to D..Willcock here, he talks about how the energy from the milky way blows away the heliosphere to the point that it will possibly create a 'crack' and letting the energy into our solar system there of warming the planets from the inside...

I think that Band could be that opening in the heliosphere, and I think that it will be proven by increase in earthquakes ....
