U.S. indicts 8 it says ran terror group

WASHINGTON, Feb. 20 � A Florida college professor and three other men living in Florida and Illinois were among eight individuals named in a 50-count federal indictment Thursday accusing them of supporting, financing and relaying messages for a violent Palestinian terrorist group. �The Palestinian Islamic Jihad is one of the most violent terrorist organizations in the world,� and is blamed for the deaths of more than 100 people in and around Israel, Attorney General John Ashcroft said in announcing the indictment....

Yeah I saw that story on the news today. They even arrested that college professor.

the story is the new laws that allow for such arrest to take place without actually connecting these folk to a specific crime...it also should be noted that these folk are only connected to terrorism in Israel and not plots on the US.
