I was thinking more along the lines of terrorist attack with nukes in several cities across the U.S. Say several large cities with large populations.
There is intelligence reports that claim terrorist may have gotten nukes across the border through Mexico years ago. Seven out of ten of America’s
largest cities are in states bordering Mexico. New York continued to be the nation’s most populous city, with 8.2 million residents.
New York, N.Y. 8.2 million
Los Angeles, Calif. 3,834,340
Chicago, Ill. 2,836,658
Houston, Tex. 2,208,180
Philadelphia, Pa. 1,449,634
Phoenix, Ariz. 1,552,259
San Antonio, Tex. 1,328,984
San Diego, Calif. 1,266,731
Dallas, Tex. 1,240,499
San Jose, Calif 939,899
You could pull the country together like after 911. You would kill off enough people to help offset the current unemployment problem and you could
ramp up our military war machine to hunt down and destroy the "people" responsible. It would provide an excuse for the collapse of the dollar and a
reason why we dont need to pay the countries we owe. The new construction to repair the damaged cities would provide tens of thousands of new jobs.
The long term effects would promise to kill even more people and it would be a boost to the medical field and drug companies. Just to name a few
things.
