you just want so badly to believe that this mission is dangerous that no amount of logic will convince you otherwise. but in a week, you'll forget about it and find something else that you think will bring about the end of the world.

week after week, impending armageddon after impending armageddon, it never occurs to you that none of these terrible things have ever come to pass, or that the success rate of these vague internet prophecies drops with every single failed prediction on every single passing day.

I was thinking more along the lines of terrorist attack with nukes in several cities across the U.S. Say several large cities with large populations.

There is intelligence reports that claim terrorist may have gotten nukes across the border through Mexico years ago. Seven out of ten of America’s largest cities are in states bordering Mexico. New York continued to be the nation’s most populous city, with 8.2 million residents.

You could pull the country together like after 911. You would kill off enough people to help offset the current unemployment problem and you could ramp up our military war machine to hunt down and destroy the "people" responsible. It would provide an excuse for the collapse of the dollar and a reason why we dont need to pay the countries we owe. The new construction to repair the damaged cities would provide tens of thousands of new jobs. The long term effects would promise to kill even more people and it would be a boost to the medical field and drug companies. Just to name a few things.
